Last week we had the pleasure of attending New Designers, where we joined the judging panel to present the Affinity Digital Design Award – and what an inspiring day it was! ✨🎨

We met so many brilliant graduates and had great conversations with educators like Luke Waller from Nottingham Trent University about how design education is preparing students for the creative industries.

A huge congratulations to our award winner Isaac Meardon for his beautiful illustrated book “The Badger and The Crocodile.” His work stood out for its storytelling, thoughtful layout, and incredible use of light and mixed media.

We left the event feeling energised – the creativity and talent we saw on display proves that the future of design is in very good hands. 💡

Behind the lens in LA 📷🌴

While in Los Angeles for Canva Create 2025, Affinity Technical Author and photographer Michael Leski set out to explore the city’s streets — from the raw energy of Venice Beach Skatepark to the golden light of Santa Monica.
