Cambrils in Costa Daurada, Spain

The round tower is the Tower of the Port (Torre del Port) that houses the History Museum of Cambrils and an event venue, located at Carrer del Consolat de Mar, near Port Cambrils. It was built in the 17th century as a watch tower to defend the town against pirates.

Cambrils in Costa Daurada, Spain

So, I visited Cambrils on day 4 of my recent holiday in Costa Daurada, Spain. I went for a day trip to Cambrils, another coastal resort town in Costa Daurada, in the province of Tarragona in Catalonia, Spain. I took the bus Empresa Plana from Reus.

The small port town is not far from Salou resort town. Cambrils is a quiet and charming traditional Spanish fishing town with bits of Roman and Medieval history. This Catalan town is known as the culinary capital of Costa Daurada with many restaurants, cafes and pubs (tavernas).

Cambrils offers long stretch (7km) of 9 Blue Flag golden sandy beaches, lively promenade, fresh fish and seafood, among others.

I enjoyed my first visit to Cambrils.
