This year our raffle raised £850 for RNLI Oban Lifeboat Station. As folk who work and live by the sea, shellfish growers have a huge respect for these volunteers.

Thank you to staff, delegates and visitors to the Association of Scottish Shellfish Growers conference in Oban this week for their continued generosity, raising hundreds of pounds to support the RNLI throughout their two day conference.

Thank you also for inviting us to set up our water safety stand for delegates to visit.

When dinner guests talk oysters & mussels in a seafood restaurant - it must be that time of year for the Association of Scottish Shellfish Growers to gather in Oban for their annual conference. Lovely to catch up with old friends and meet new ones.

Thanks to oyster laddie and his pal at today's Oban Food Fair for shucking the perfect little oyster me to try. No longer an oyster virgin, and pleased to say I loved it! Really delicious. 😋
