📍 Competitors travelled from as far away as Australia, Ukraine, and Brazil to hurl black puddings at Yorkshire puddings perched 25 feet in the air.

Jacob, who is from Hull, is currently attempting to complete 365 different sports in 365 consecutive days for charity.

He discovered the World Black Pudding Throwing Championships online while searching for unusual annual events and decided he had to take part 🙌

He arrived at Manchester Airport at 11pm the night before, stayed over with his brother, and headed straight to Bridge Street for the competition.

The quirky tradition has been running in the market town for more than 30 years.

Each participant gets three black puddings to hurl at a 25-foot scaffolding tower in an effort to knock down as many Yorkshire puddings as possible.

Despite completing three full rounds, Jacob did not manage to knock down any Yorkshire puddings before heading back home for work the next morning.

Hundreds of people filled the streets from 11am to 5pm as the event made its return following a break last year.

All profits raised from the day are being donated to Bury Hospice and the Ramsbottom Pantry ❤️

The winner who knocks off the most Yorkshire puddings by the end of the day leaves with £100, a trophy, and the official world champion title for the year.
