OMAGH PROTEST

A PROTEST has been held in Omagh this evening (Tuesday) following a knife attack incident in Belfast last night.

Hundreds of members of the local public gathered at the bottom of Market Street before proceeding to walk to the steps of the Courthouse.

It comes in the wake of a man in his 40s having suffered serious injuries after he was attacked in north Belfast around 10.30pm last night.

A 30-year-old man originally from Sudan has been charged with attempted murder after the incident.

He is due to appear in court in Belfast tomorrow (Wednesday).
