🎬 Got a bold, creative short film idea that deserves to be seen?

Two Minute Masterpiece is back — a BBC Northern Ireland talent development initiative, delivered in partnership with Northern Ireland Screen.

This is a chance to bring your vision to life and showcase your work on the BBC.

Up to six filmmakers will be selected to produce a two-minute film and receive:

💰 £2,000 production funding
🎥 Mentorship from industry professionals
🗓 Production plan development
📺 A broadcast opportunity across BBC platforms

The scheme welcomes proposals across drama, documentary, animation, comedy, or experimental film, especially from voices and perspectives that are underrepresented in the screen industry.

Yesterday our students heard from Lisa Duggan, the Archive Education Officer for Northern Ireland Screen, on using archive material in their projects.

The students are beginning to make some pieces on the history of Omagh including its industrial past, the railway and the old Gaol. Once again we are glad to be working with the Strule Arts Centre on these projects.

Lots of great information from Lisa on how to incorporate material from the archives into their work.
