A wonderful day for Living In The Dark! Four students from our incredible team of seventeen travelled to Belfast to take part in an interview and a present a presentation in front of several top business professionals for the NI Finals and for Michéal Mullin who had his interview also for Northern Irelands Young Entrepreneur of the Future Award for the chance to travel to Canada.
Next stop...results night at a black tie event on the 16th May!⭐️

The team have been working extremely hard recently in preparations for the Northern Ireland Finals following our success in recent competitions. We are working on improvements for our booklet judging from your feedback on what we could do to improve them!
On a side note, keep an eye out for our brand as we are working on bringing the three mental health booklets to your local stores!⭐️

What a day for us here at Living In The Dark, our hard work has paid off and our defeat in past trade fairs have truly made us better as a team. It shows how sometimes defeat can further motivate the urge for success!⭐️

Today several of our hard working SHC students traveled to the Titanic Quarter in Belfast City for the results of the Northern Ireland Young Enterprise 2016/17 season. It was a great success for Living In The Dark and some individuals in our team as well. We are proud to announce that we were awarded our regions:
⭐️Best Overall Company⭐
⭐Best Social Impact⭐

We would like to thank all business that have given us support and advice along the way of this part of our experience, to all staff members at Sacred Heart College particularly Mrs. Michelle Donaghy our link teacher. Also, the Young Enterprise official panel for there continued support and lastly and most importantly YOU, without our followers and those who helped promote our books by buying, visiting, providing feedback and liking and sharing our posts- you are AMAZING!

Lastly and not less importantly today Michéal Mullin (Managing Director) showed his true talent in business adding to his award for Best Seller by picking up the Young Entrepreneur Award for the western area! He will now have an interview with Northern Ireland's top entrepreneurs with a chance to go to Canada for a business trip, WELL DONE MICHÉAL MULLIN!⭐️⭐️

We were delighted to be invited down to the positive mindset day in the Omagh Leisure Centre by Julie Donaghy and her group of excellent volunteers.

It was a great day where mental well-being was the main focus. Our books were once again in high demand.

The mental health epidemic among the young represents one of the greatest challenges facing our schools.

https://petition.parliament.uk/petitions/176555 - Make sure to sign this petition for Mental Health education to be compulsory to students at schools. The lack of knowledge with some students when it comes to mental health is a problem that is not being taken serious enough and it needs to be fixed! Take some time to fill in this petition if you support the idea of students developing better knowledge on mental health from a younger age.

Mental health education is still not part of the UK curriculum despite consistently high rates of child and adolescent mental health issues. By educating young people about mental health in schools, we can increase awareness and hope to encourage open and honest discussion among young people.

What an incredible day at our first trade fair, we have sold 87 out of the 90 books we had on sale today which is a massive achievement! The future is looking bright for Living In The Dark😀

Unfortunately we did not come out on top but “Losses are finger posts on the road to achievement" and we will take the market again next Friday⭐️

Today we came out with four awards in total:
• Runners Up
• Best Social Impact
• Participation Certificate

And one individual award rewarded to Michéal Mullin (Managing Director) for the Best Sales Person of the fair⭐️

Many thanks to all who came along to visit the market today and we hope that you enjoy your books that many of yous have purchased.
