We got our 2026 programme off to a great start last evening with the very talented Mamie Alexander. On arrival her title held us all in suspense "Narnia, winter will soon be over."
Mamie brought many of us back in time to our childhood with the story "The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe." The scenes were perfectly portrayed throughout her designs from the wardrobe, the winter forest , Edmund drooling for Turkish delight, the winter thaw and the grand finale with the return of Aslam . Thanks to Mamie for a wonderful and most enjoyable evening..

🎄Last evening we gathered for a Christmas workshop to make our very own wreaths under the guidance of our club member Bernie McCaffrey. It was a most enjoyable evening with Bernie on hand to give guidance and showing us alternative ways to display our wreaths. The evening concluded with refreshments, seasonal treats and a raffle.
We wish all our members and visitors over the past year a very Happy and Peaceful Christmas filled with warmth and joy and look forward to seeing you all again in the New Year ..🎄

🎄Please note our December meeting is a little earlier this month..🎄
It takes the form of a workshop in which we hope each member will decorate an Oasis foam wreath. For this meeting, please bring secateurs, an oasis wreath, greenery, some baubles/ flowers/decoration items and bin bag to take home the clippings.

Last evening Aine McGuinness, Nigfas demonstrator travelled to our club with her title, “Trick or Treat”.
Aine shared her “Tricks” by telling us how she cleverly made some interesting containers from simple materials, but her “Treats” were the stars of the show with magnificent flower displays that completely filled the top table..
With her choice of flowers and use of colour and harmony as well as all the other aspects of flower design she had us spellbound from start to finish..
Refreshments were served and the lucky winners went home well pleased..

Last evening we got our monthly meetings up and running after the summer break with a beautiful floral demonstration by George Madden. “Summer ends with a Twist.”
George in his relaxed demeanour ushered us from Summer into Autumn with tasteful arrangements incorporating traditional and modern designs. Thank you George for travelling all the way to Omagh..
