May oh May, what a month you were. A trip to Corfu, Paxos and Antipaxos, a staycation with the hubs & a stay on a Christmas tree farm were a handful of the highlights. Wishing you all a beautiful June đź©·

April memories. A largely fun month but of course these are just highlights, & doesn’t show everything. A beautiful trip to Cyprus & Venice, time with family & friends & Dougal’s 6th birthday were some of my favourite moments. How has your April been?

Yes, it’s €90 for a short 30 minute gondola ride in Venice & unless you’ve got several friends or family with you to share the cost, it’s not cheap. It was also a very grey, cold, rainy day in Italy & I honestly didn’t fancy sitting exposed for 30 minutes shivering my butt off!

If you want to tick a gondola ride off your bucketlist, then check out one of the several Traghetto stops. Acting as little ferries, these legitimate gondolas will take you across the canal for €2 per person. Yes, it’s only about 5 minutes of sitting in the gondola & you do have to share it but I got lucky & only had to share with 2 other women, & I got a prime seat.

You can find the different stops on google maps and I think it’s a great authentic way to experience this special transportation. Do you agree or is this a cop out? Does it count?

Honestly might delete this as this is a travel account & I’m a bit scared about reactions! And if anyone wants to fund the removal of my bingo wings please hit me up!

Happier & happier! 2lb shy of a 12 stone / 76kg loss in one year and very nearly at a healthy bmi. From morbidly obsese & kidding myself that I was happy in my body to someone who feels more confident and is happily exploring her new style.

A low calorie diet, cutting out chocolate and drinks for 9 months (till Christmas) which meant no binge eating, getting in my steps & really learning what my body needs, it’s been an interesting journey. Not fully there yet but the hard work really starts in maintenance. Let’s do it!
