Our Manifesto. To support selected artists via social media and to offer a platform for musicians to gain a wider audience, free of charge. A volunteer-led organisation, we aim to also offer occasional show-case nights and on-line releases. Our team includes a film studio, animator, photographer and recording studio. Some of these services are free, whilst others are available at a competitive rat

e that the artist and the relevant AWBW representative deem appropriate. We hope to offer musicians another avenue to help them expose their craft to a wider audience, all we ask for in return is that people continue to spread the word.

The sun's out and the May issue of Nightshift Magazine is out. What more could you ask for?

The world, in case you have been asleep for a few months, and frankly I wouldn't blame you, is a bit of a bin fire right now. The Wonderful World of Beaker.Oxford is a far lovelier, if weirder place. It's ruled by these fine women for starters. May's Nightshift finds the reformed 'Band of Mothers' talking about how tragedy brought them back together, new recruits, an emotional comeback show and how their kids think they're cool, but shouldn't wear cardigans. It's online now athttp://nightshiftmag.co.uk/2026/may.pdf

Therein, you'll also read about Civil Villains and WOOD HQ; a review of what is likely to be gig of the year (flowery language alert!); an effusive Top Track review of Mount St. Helen, and a slightly less effusive one about a demo full of guitar solos and nothing else. What were they thinking? That I'd like it?

And what's that? SEVEN PAGES of gigs for the month ahead? You'll want to be reading all this quickly so you can get off to them all.

In the Wonderful World of Beaker, all gigs are great and guitar solos are against the law, probably.

NEW RELEASE TODAY by Lee Switzer-Woolf Music - available on https://allwillbewellrecords.bandcamp.com/ and on streaming platforms (find your stream of choice at https://linktr.ee/leeswitzerwoolf)

Mixed and mastered by Aden Pearce

A message from Lee:
Listen up sad people of the world, I have a new solo single out today! It is called "I Might Be An Alien", and is streaming in all the usual places.
For now it's a one off single, but I'm working on new stuff for later in the year. Please give it a listen/share and let me know what you think.
Obviously, I'm not going to tell you how to listen to music, but my serving suggestion would be in headphones, in a dark room, contemplating the nature of your existence.

April Nightshift Magazine now out online, for all your gig-going needs!

April Nightshift Magazine now out online, for all your gig-going needs!

Dream, dream, dream, dreeeeeeeam...

Given the wretched state of the world you'd be excused for wishing it was all a bad dream. Instead, why not escape, with us, into CAMILLE BAZIADOLY's ethereal dream pop. She's on the cover of April's Nightshift, which has just gone online - link in the first comment due to algorithms or something - another evil of the modern world. Camille talks about growing up in France before moving to the UK and making Oxford her dream home. Her song 'Skin On Fire' was a Track of the Month last year and she's just released a whole EP of similar loveliness.

Want to laugh in the face of all the horror going on? Introducing stars NO WORRIES IF NOT have got you covered. Choreographed silliness and sauciness and sublime synth-pop tunes are their bread and butter. Or should we say baguette and butter.

We chat to TWOFACE PROMOTIONS about putting on metal music in town, there's news about homecoming shows for SWERVEDRIVER (their first in over a decade) and YOUNG KNIVES, BEAKER have a Radio 4 documentary about them coming up and we review their ace new single '50 Men' - their first new material in 27 years. The first line-up news for RIVERSIDE and FLOFEST are revealed, plus a right bunfest of releases and gigs reviewed.

I tried and failed to clear the Tracks backlog. Like the daily news horrors, they keep on coming. In the meantime, great music is my succour, and I'm a sucker for great music.

Happy gigging, everyone, and never let go of your dreams. Unless, like mine, they tend to involve ruined cityscapes, Xenomorphs and being trapped in a collapsing skyscraper.

January's almost out of the way and we have a new Nightshift Magazine in time for Imbolc and the return of the light.

Inside, a full review of In A Different Place, with photos by Ian Hanham

"Oi, goth! Weirdy goth!" shout my children every morning as I sullenly drizzle Absinthe onto my Frosties. I blame their errant behaviour on the black food colouring I liberally add to each and every meal. I'm tempted to expel them from the castle.

Anyway, nowt wrong with being a bit gothy, as MARYSGARDEN will attest. They're on the cover of the new Nightshift, which has gone online athttp://nightshiftmag.co.uk/2026/feb.pdf and they're stood there with their scythes and skeleton costumes and crow-feather jackets and singer Laima talks to us about black-hearted ballads and bunnies.

Talking of black-hearted, while every new day brings a fresh low in the Donald Trump story, here at Nightshift we maintain the highest standards month-in, month-out, and after a month out we're back at the gigging coalface with a vengeance. Check out the five pages of shows for February, as well as an Introducing feature on HANNAH LOU LARSEN, a Promotermouth piece on Stewart from OMS, a two-page review of IN A DIFFERENT PLACE (talk about marking your own homework...), loads of news on upcoming and past-going stuff and a tribute to the lovely Sully, who sadly left us at the end of December.

In a rapidly changing world, you can always rely on Nightshift. The world is heading to Hell in a handcart and we've got our hand on the tiller and are laughing maniacally as we go. Are goths allowed to laugh?
