Our Manifesto. To support selected artists via social media and to offer a platform for musicians to gain a wider audience, free of charge. A volunteer-led organisation, we aim to also offer occasional show-case nights and on-line releases. Our team includes a film studio, animator, photographer and recording studio. Some of these services are free, whilst others are available at a competitive rat

e that the artist and the relevant AWBW representative deem appropriate. We hope to offer musicians another avenue to help them expose their craft to a wider audience, all we ask for in return is that people continue to spread the word.

New Nightshift Magazine now out online, featuring a full page add for In A Different Place 2025 all-dayer: Sixteen of Oxfordshire's best acts over two stages on 14 December at The Bullingdon - with full line-up shown. Cheap Tier 2Tickets available from https://wegottickets.com/event/669476

S'TRUTH! IT'S THE TRUTH!

Yes, Unbelievable Truth are back baby, and they've been talking to Nightshift about their new album, their upcoming gig at The Bullingdon and the state of the world. All in the new issue which has just gone online athttps://nightshiftmag.co.uk/2025/oct.pdf

There is a lot of truth throughout the issue, from the truth that there are some proper corking new records out by local bands you'll want to hear, to the truth that October is a properly bonkers month for gigs in and around Oxford, to the truth that sending us a cover version of 'Gimme Shelter' to review is a pretty bad idea, all things considered.

Anyway, have a read and then pick which gigs you're off to. If there's nothing in that gig guide for you you've probably picked up the wrong magazine. The new issue of Dullards Monthly will probably be along in a short while.

No rest for Nightshift Magazine in the holiday season - August print edition is out in all your favourite places.

There was a flat tyre (not for the first time); there was a parking ticket (incredibly, for the first time), but there were also magazines. Thousands of them. And they were delivered. Because drama and duty are the cornerstones of Nightshift's existence. Them along with red wine and synth-pop.

So, despite all Nightshift's profits* for the next financial quarter being swallowed up by car-related expenses, the print copy of August's issue is out now in most places you'd hope to find it. Only most though - seems August is ripe for closing your shop/café/secret underground lair for refurbishments.

* - "profits" - as if.

August Nightshift Magazine out now! Yes that's right, including 3 pages of gig listings so get out there and enjoy the live music.

What's this? What's this? Only the 21st of the month and the new issue is up online already? Well, it's a rather small issue so it fitted through the bars on the gate more easily than usual.

But, yes, here it is, August's issue - small but perfectly formed, like a kitten:https://nightshiftmag.co.uk/2025/aug.pdf

Featuring SOUTH ARCADE, who are only blummin' well playing the main stage at Reading Festival at the end of August. How did that happen? Hard work and talent it would seem.

Elsewhere, there's an Introducing feature on SUSPIRE and we talk to CHRISTINA HOPKINSON who has been bringing the word of live music to the people of Witney for a few years.

Despite seemingly everyone having the month off from gig promoting, there's still 3 pages of shows for the month. As ever, we're very excited about SUPERNORMAL. Slightly less so about Feastival.

Happy gigging or festivalling or whatever it is that people do these days. Va**ng? Netflixing and chilling? Rioting? Me? I'm going to start thinking about September's issue. When will this torment end?

World Goth Day was yesterday but let's keep the dark fun going as we present the wonderful PET TWIN as June's Nightshift cover star. He's looking resplendently crow-like on the cover, a bit Jon Snow if you ask me. I'd be tempted to make a cheap joke along the lines of "You know nuthin' Pet Twin", but he patently does know how to write a great song or two. Read what he has to say about himself and his music athttps://nightshiftmag.co.uk/2025/jun.pdf

Jon Snow of course came back from the dead in Game of Thrones, and someone else who's back from the dead are THE SAMURAI SEVEN, who have reformed and will be playing Charlbury Riverside and Truck Festivals. Nightshift had a chat to brothers Simon and Matt about the comeback.

From rebirth to birth and BABY MAKER is this month's Introducing act.

Meanwhile electronic gig promoters ALL WILL BE WIRED bring the machinery in our Promotermouth feature. And whaddya know - today is apparently International Synthesiser Day.

All this plus FIVE PAGES OF GIGS for June, an absolute bumper crop of gig reviews from the past month, a bunch of releases and a very decent batch of new Tracks.

And once you've read all that no one can say "You know nuthin", because you'll be a know it all. Happy gigging everyone, even the goths. We wear our smiles on the inside.

Young people? Feckless wasters high on laughing gas and energy drinks, right? Said so in the Daily Mail. But we know different, because THE KOKROACHEZ are young people and they're one of the hardest working bands around. Gigs here, gigs there, gigs everywhere, since they were just 9 years old! They even play gigs in their sleep. Possibly. And this month they get to talk about all them gigs. And the Apocalypse. In the new issue of Nightshift which is online now athttps://nightshiftmag.co.uk/2025/may.pdf

There's also an Introducing piece on CLUCAS; we chat to KLUB KAKOFANNEY about putting gigs on, and, for all the doom and gloom around venue closures, there are SIX pages of gigs for May. The Kokroachez are probably playing one or two here and there.

Go to gigs everyone - they keep you young.
