Please come and support the Paws in the Park event on the 4 October.

The event is dedicated to celebrating and supporting responsible dog ownership, at Jenners Field, Glebe Close, Lingfield RH7 6AX on Saturday 4 October from 1pm to 4pm.

Tandridge District Council is teaming up with the RSPCA Surrey East and other campaign sponsors to bring you expert advice, fun activities and access to affordable services, including:

- Behaviour and training tips.
- Help with training and managing common issues.
- Veterinary financial help for eligible owners.
- Information about home boarding and dog day care businesses including dog walkers.
- Free activities, resources and giveaways.

If you were at the Oxted Pram Race yesterday, you couldn’t have missed the brilliant effort of these fabulous ladies, The Rockettes, paying tribute to the silver fox himself, local legend Randy of Randy & the Rockets, with their sponsor, FH Brundle. As is tradition, Oxted’s much loved local rock band provided the live tunes for the party in Old Oxted, playing on top of one of FH Brundle’s trucks.
Big thanks again to Oxted’s Mike Brundle, and the four other local trustees of The Oxted Rotary Pram Race Charitable Trust together with all the event volunteers and sponsors. Amazing effort all round. 🎸 🤘 💦

The weather’s looking HOT, so don’t forget your water guns – it’s the perfect chance to cool off and join in the fun!

If you haven’t already got tickets, please support local actor/playwright, Lucy Beresford-Knox and her colleagues at Burnt Flamingo Productions - Frankie Hyde and Kirsty Yeung - who will be performing their inaugural play, BURN at the United Reformed Church, Bluehouse Lane on Friday the 20th June, followed by a Q&A session.

BURN by Lucy Beresford-Knox was first performed to sell out audiences at VAULT Festival and the Guildford Fringe in 2023 and is being prepared for a short tour across the Country with a Kickstarter campaign in order to fund their endeavours.

In a dank cell, 'Bloody' Queen Mary I, the first woman to wear the English crown, meets the Archbishop she has condemned to burn at the stake, and tells her story... over a high stakes game of chess. "BURN is a defiant, feminist retelling of Queen Mary I ready to confront her own reputation..."
