My Cheap Finds on the orange app to accentuate my growing library. πππ
I think i will never stop reading until my eyes gave up on me (well that would definitely be unfortunate) but nonetheless if it does, welcome to audiobooks π
π€£π.
My mom said i started reading at 3 (amazingly my nephew Renn beat me to it and did it at 2, what a show off this kid, taking away the crown from me haha, kidding aside i am so proud of him - his photo insert reading on the comments) and i have never stopped since then. They would find me early on even holding a songmag upside down and singing as if i can read the chords as well haha (this is how early i developed my love for singing i reckon). I can remember how i choose to read than to play outside with other kids (this is why i guess i was branded anti-social even if this word is still not known to many those days) when they come knocking on our door to invite me to play with them. I can hear their proper screaming and laughters while i cozy up on our sofa reading and laughing to myself on a funny story on a kids comic edition.
Moving on to 7th grade, I started to upgrade, sky high, picking up a John Grisham novel from a cousin's house. It was a thick paperback edition of "A time to Kill"-- i don't know the reason but the story appeals to me. That was the first English novel i read and finished, that sprungs my love for action, thriller, and suspense novel and the interest for becoming a lawyer. That dream died though after a while and here I am ended up in a medical field, with a rewarding soulful experience of healing, caring and saving lives (now i read medical thriller books from time to time).
Back to highschool, it was a trend in the Philippines to rent and swap this Philippine printed short love stories by Precious Hearts Romances and for a while i was into Tagalog written stories. Then came college years, where you can only find me in 3 places when i am not in the house or in the classroom, the school library, the home section in the mall and the bookstore (mostly National Bookstore or Book Sale). Sometimes, i would open a book in the bookstore and started to read and chapter by chapter i go each time i visited, school books is expensive then and even paperbacks so i had to prioritize haha.
Fast forward to now, i have a job and i guess it's time to reward myself to buy the books i want to read and keep as a treasure. Library use and borrowing of books in UK can be free, that is why it is also one of the first membership i applied to so i can have access to free books but not everything is free as they are mostly run by charities and they also have to put books for a price to be able to gather funds for their charity.
This is the story of my ever love for books. I know this is supposed to flex my new found accents for my bookcases and now it ended up like a short story haha. Hope you like to read just like me. π
