🎳 Pinopolis Llanelli — Another One for the Archives 👻

A little throwback from a few months ago…
We explored Pinopolis Llanelli some time back, but decided to hold off sharing this one until the building was almost completely empty and stripped out.

Once a busy place filled with bowling, families, food, music, laughter and memories, it was strange to walk through it and see how much had already disappeared.
The bowling lanes were still there, along with the old bar and kitchen areas, bowling shoes, equipment, signage and the huge indoor soft-play area. The colourful murals and artwork are a stark reminder of how lively this place once was.
It really is strange seeing somewhere that would once have been packed with people now completely silent and slowly being stripped back to nothing.

And sadly, it looks like the building's future is already decided. Plans are in place for Aldi to replace the former entertainment centre with a new supermarket, meaning the Pinpoint that so many people remember will eventually disappear completely.
That's one of the reasons we wanted to document it before it was gone.
From bowling lanes and soft play to an Aldi — another piece of Llanelli's history about to become part of the past. 🎳➡️🛒

Former student accommodation at the University of Wales Trinity Saint David’s Carmarthen campus.

Once home to students, these buildings would have been filled with everyday university life,people coming and going, making friends and creating memories. Today, they stand largely empty and slowly falling into disrepair.
Inside, there are still little reminders of the people who once lived here, including old rooms, sinks, noticeboards and even names and messages left behind on the walls. It really makes you wonder about the stories behind them and the students who called this place home.

It’s so sad to see places like this left empty and deteriorating when we have so many homeless people and families struggling to find somewhere to live. Buildings like these could potentially have a completely different future, rather than simply being left to decay.
