We're back! The Double Decade Show returns tonight with the first show of 2026.

It's not 'alf bad neither! Music from artists such as Peter Gabriel, Shocking Blue, Chic, Kim Wilde, Boz Scaggs and many more!

I'll also be playing a special musical tribute to Chris Rea, who sadly left us just before Christmas. If you're a Chris Rea fan like me, you'll get to enjoy four great songs from the 70s, 80s and 90s.

I'll have another 80s Chart Toppers Triple Play at 9.15ish as usual.

There's also another Chunk of Cheese, featuring two UK number ones. I actually think they're good songs, but they are definitely cheesey!

Sandie Shaw and Chris Rea are Outside the Box tonight with two cracking tracks from 1965 and 1991.

So it's going to be a busy ol' show and I hope you'll join me from 8pm for a couple of hours of magical music and memories from the 70s and 80s...and 60s and 90s! 😅

Who can recall Juke Box Jury and its theme tune Hit and Miss by The John Barry Seven or the 6.5 Special, with its theme tune by Don Lang & His Frantic Five - both early British hits?
When the four Beatles ​were on the show in 1963, they only voted two hits - "Kiss Me Quick" by Elvis Presley and ​"The Hippy Hippy Shake" by The Swinging Blue Jeaans, One of the most awkward moments occurred when they gave a scathing review to "Love Hit Me" by The Orchids, calling it a "pinch" (rip-off) of American girl groups. Host David Jacobs then revealed that the three teenage girls from the group were sitting in the audience.
​When John Lennon was on the show on his own, he voted MISS for every single record played, including Elvis Presley's "(You're the) Devil in Disguise," which he said sounded like Bing Crosby.
