The chosen charity for the next Three Eyed Cat album, Sporecore, is CARE. They are a humanitarian organisation who help have helped millions around the world for over the last 75 years.

There is still plenty of time to get your Mushroom tracks ready for Sporecore. The deadline is 1st of July.

You can interpret it however you like- funky fungus; single-celled yeast; networks of mycelium; their symbiosis with plants and bacteria (lichen and mycorrhiza); zombified fungi-infested insects; haute cuisine truffles; furry moulds; spreading spores; or even your favourite mushroom recipe – whatever you can imagine and commit to music!

Your track can be either something brand new or something produced in the last year, as long as it is in keeping with the theme and incorporates electronic elements. Tracks are required to be no longer than 6 minutes; all your own work (with sounds/samples that are public domain); and be safe for radio play (No explicit language). Other than that, you are free to interpret the theme as creatively as you wish.

All the money made from Bandcamp downloads of the album are being donated to the charity CARE- (Cooperative for Assistance and Relief Everywhere)

The art work for this compilation album was created by Animalsoup Art who also features on may Three Eyed Cat compilations under the name Animal Zoup. They also produced the artwork for previous Three Eyed Cat Records release, Minibeast Melodies. I think the art work is amazing and perfectly encapsulates the many different musical styles that feature on these great albums and I can't wait to hear the weird and wonderful ways you all interpret the mushroom theme. Three Eyed Cat Records is thrilled to announce the upcoming release of a new electronic compilation album titled "Sporecore."

The theme is mycology, mushrooms and fungi and we are foraging for imaginative musicians to take part and submit music.

We're a synth/keyboard, distorted bass electro-punk-pop duo sort of thing. The keyboard we use is the Yamaha Portasound PSS-570. We regard it as the third member of the band.
