Our Story

Cornish Story seeks to explore the cultural heritage of Cornwall and its global diaspora. Central to our publications and outreach strategy is an online platform that brings together written articles, oral history, music, photography and films to build on the pioneering work of the Cornish Audio Visual Archive (CAVA). By combining written articles with the multimedia resources of the Cornish Audio Visual Archive (CAVA) we seek to deliver informative studies relating to all aspects of Cornish culture. Cornish Story Online is an accessible resource that will complement a planned series of hard copy publications.

We aim to provide an educational platform that harnesses knowledge and creativity to promote the study of Cornwall both in the past and present. At the community level we are looking to develop a public engagement programme through educational days, workshops, lectures and short courses. Ideas or suggestions for future articles are welcomed. If you think you may have a good idea to use on our website, please do not hesitate to get involved with Cornish Story. Join us as we study the ongoing story of Cornwall.
