Violet Kitchen Studios

Violet Studio’s is a versatile 735 sq ft, natural light filled, modern rustic space offering a fully functioning kitchen with a vast selection of props, a large shooting area, a gathering space for creatives, and a cosy lounge area with a wood burning stove. It is available to rent for shoots and private events. We also host various workshops throughout the year. This is one of the only studio kitchens in Central Scotland.

This is the perfect location for stills or video shoots. Ideal for any cookery, recipe, packaging or advertising photography or videography. It’s also perfect for cookery demo’s and private dinners and events.

What sets Violet Studios apart is its extensive prop collection – we have an inspiring selection of beautiful ceramics, cutlery, glassware, linens, surfaces and kitchenalia sourced from all over the world.

There is plenty of natural light with diffuser blinds on all windows to allow you to control your light.

Situated in the stunning Perthshire countryside makes for a quiet atmosphere. The studio opens onto an apple orchard and woodland which offer wonderful outdoor filming opportunities and foraging walks. Yet the studio is only minutes from the M90 motorway to Edinburgh and Dundee and approximately 10 minutes to the M9 motorway linking to Glasgow and Stirling.

Photography and prop styling services are available by Gill Murray. Gill also works with a wide range of excellent chefs in the area who she can organise for your shoot requirements.

Photography Equipment is also available for use at the studio including a mix of continuous and speed lights, reflectors, diffusers, tripod, backdrop stands and extensions, clamps and light stands. There are also numerous backdrops available for food photography.
