Drip-Dry Productions

Drip-Dry Productions An independent development platform for musical artists. We are based in Cambridgeshire, UK in a wonderful, colourful and good sounding studio.

We offer 1-2-1 tuition, artist development, mixing, mastering and support with distribution and promotion. Drip Dry was initially setup in 2005 so that it's founder, Benny Turner could release his own music, & the music of the band he was playing in. It soon became a platform for other local musicians (regardless of what genre they fitted into) in Peterborough and Cambridgeshire
striving & strugg

ling to record & release their music. At that time a synchronistic surge of art & music inspired the genesis of a small recording studio at a Community Music and Arts Centre called The Glass Onion, where Drip Dry held residence. Sadly the Glass Onion is no more, however Drip Dry has continued to grow & has made a new home in Peterborough's 1st Community Music Centre, Chime, which is run by not-for-profit music service, Beat This C.I.C. Drip Dry differs to other "labels" in that it does not make any profit in releasing & re-distributing music for artists. The emphasis is on giving artists complete control of their own music. It's a head start into the world of the music business without the cut-throat politics. It's your music after all! www.drip-dry.co.uk

Bringing Back The Music
On 24th August our world was turned upside down. Chime Creation Centre in Peterborough, home to Beat This (www.beatthis.org) and Drip Dry Productions (www.drip-dry.co.uk) was broken into. The intruders stole a bunch of studio equipment, including the main studio computer and, most devastatingly, our backup drive.

This wasn't just a theft of equipment; it was a theft of years of hard work, passion, and creativity. All the music, recordings, and projects from the talented artists who work with us have been potentially lost forever. For many of these artists, this represents countless hours and a significant financial investment. Their art, their dreams, and their livelihoods have been severely impacted.

Rebuilding Lost Dreams: Why We Need Your Help
The artists who have lost their work now face the daunting task of starting over. The funds we raise will go directly to helping them in this rebuilding process. Your donation will help cover the costs of:

* Studio time and new recording sessions for artists to re-record their lost work.

* Equipment and software needed to replace what was lost or damaged.

* Direct support for musicians who have been financially impacted by this tragedy.

We are aiming to raise £2,000 to provide immediate relief and support. Every pound will help us to get these incredible artists back on their feet and back to creating the music that we all love.
Chime is also the home of the Ground Up Music project, a development platform funded by the Arts Council, jointly managed by Beat This and Drip Dry Productions. This initiative is a vital part of the local music community, providing essential support and opportunities for emerging artists. The theft has dealt a significant blow to the project, jeopardising the progress of many musicians who rely on it to develop their careers.

We are determined not to let this act of vandalism silence our community! With your support, we can turn this tragedy into a testament to the strength and resilience of Peterborough's music scene.

Please, if you can, donate today and share our story. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for your kindness and generosity.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving - they'll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, I will withdraw funds directly. It's the most efficient way to donate and saves time and costs.
