People often mention that 40% of households don't have off road parking where they could install a home charge point. What they forget to include is the fact that some of those (22% of the total) don't actually have a car anyway!

Yesterday afternoon I stopped at Birchanger services to kill time waiting for a plane to land at Stansted. Lots of EVs charging on both the Tesla and Applegreen charge points. But no waiting either, a few still available at both. EV charging working perfectly!

This is the replacement battery that’s going in. If it lasts for the advertised 5 years, that’ll see me through to around the 200,000 mile mark.

This guy went flat last night. I had to use my jump start pack to get it going. All seems fine this morning but looks like I’ll be needing to invest in a new 12 volt battery anyway. It managed just two years and seven months.

A day out driving with two 30 kg 2-man sit on top kayaks on the roof bars. And 3 of us inside with paddles and stuff. Fairly breezy day too. Obviously reduced efficiency but 172 miles and 30% battery remaining is good enough for me! 👍🏼

You can tell it’s warm and summer conditions! My 55 mile drive to work this morning was super efficient and used just 13 kWh of energy. At 7p per kWh that’s only cost me 91p.
