📱Are Fleets Doing Enough to Tackle Mobile-Phone Risk? New Report Raises Concerns

A new study has revealed that many fleets still aren’t managing mobile-phone distraction effectively — even though it remains one of the biggest causes of collisions.

Weak policies, poor enforcement and limited monitoring are leaving drivers — and businesses — exposed.

For fleet leaders, this is a clear reminder: duty of care can’t stop at vehicle checks and telematics. Managing driver behaviour is just as critical.

Sharon Townsend, head of Mitsubishi Motors UK, says the new models bring “significant design, technology, and performance upgrades over their predecessors.”

For fleets looking at reliable PHEVs or durable pickups for mixed operations, this comeback could reopen some valuable procurement options.
