✨ Choosing Peace & Reconciliation...
The venue choice for the launch event of my 3rd & final part of the trilogy, was something I have given a LOT of thought to.
'Book no 3' - is dedicated to helping newly appointed senior leaders consider how to enter the system, with ease & positive impact - and is being published early September.
Launch night - 2nd September in London.
I consciously chose a venue that has a significance.
The venue is St Ethleburgas - a beautiful, refurbished old church, in the centre of London - that is symbolic of emerging through the toughest of times, even stronger - and more resilient that was the case before....
A story that is deeply resonant to many - and certainly aligns with my lived experience.
✨The life of St Ethelburga was characterised by courageous action in the face of devastation. When the plague came to her doorstep, Ethelburga gave her nuns a choice: close the doors and pray, or open the doors and serve the community. They chose to serve, even knowing that many of them would die as a result.
✨ In 1993, the IRA detonated a bomb on Bishopsgate, almost completely destroying the church. Yet vision, creativity and commitment ensured that ten years later it opened its doors once again in a new incarnation – as a Centre for Reconciliation and Peace.
For many, St Ethelburga’s has become an iconic symbol of the opportunities for growth and evolution that are hidden within crisis and conflict.
This beautiful church is like an oasis of calm and peace in the middle of London.
It is the perfect venue to bring this book into the world - given its intention is to help senior leaders arrive in their new role with a mindset of humility, respect and curiosity.
From there - they will find the TRUE UNLOCK.
IF you are a senior leader, working INSIDE your organisation and contemplating (or preparing for) your next level - get in touch - I'd love to invite you an evening of stimulus, rich conversation - and plenty of healthy provocation.
