I was excited to begin this course and even though I started a week late, I was able to catch up quickly with the support from Alan.
Alan has provided a positive learning experience, has been enthusiastic and supportive throughout. Alan has been a fantastic tutor and can’t recommend the course enough to others interested in photography.
I have not only learnt so much more than I thought I would, it has built my confidence with using a camera and, met people that I will continue to stay in touch with after the course.

As a professional food photographer, I have the privilege of capturing the beauty and deliciousness of food for a living. But it's not all just about making food look good on camera - there's a lot of hard work and attention to detail that goes into creating stunning food photography.

One of the biggest challenges of food photography is making sure the food looks appetizing. Food can often look very different in photographs than it does in real life, so it's important to take the time to style and light the food in a way that brings out its best features. This might involve arranging the food on the plate in a visually appealing way, using props to add interest, and choosing the right lighting to highlight the textures and colours of the food.

Another important aspect of food photography is capturing the mood and atmosphere of the food. Whether it's a casual breakfast spread or a fancy dinner party, the way the food is presented and the setting it's in can greatly affect the overall feel of the photograph.
