It's been a whirlwind few days, and it's almost time to head back to The Maritime Inn for open mic night, this Thursday, 24th September! We start at 8pm, and are already packed to the rafters with great acts. We can't prebook any more acts this week, as you lot blew up my inbox since last Thursday, but if we get dropouts, we'll pop an advert out!

We had a cracking night at The Maritime Inn on Thursday for open mic night, and we just want to say a massive thank you to everyone who played. filmed the entire night for his 69 Cities project on Youtube, so if you played, or you want a flavour of the night, keep an eye on https://www.youtube.com/ over the coming months - we can't wait to see it!

It's a new week, and that means we're back at The Maritime Inn on Thursday 17th September, for open mic night! Kicking off at 8pm, it's going to be a great night, and not one to be missed!! Slots are flying out the door, and it won't be long before we're fully booked, and this is definitely one that you want to be playing at. Bring your friends, your family, your granny's best friend's brother's twice-removed cousin - let's make this one really, really special! All performers get a free drink, too, so what's not to love? See you there!!

Tonight's open mic night at the Maritime Inn on Plymouth Barbican kicks off at 8pm, and we are fully booked! However, the square at the front of the pub is closed for Seafest preparations, so if you're coming down, please head elsewhere to park, and walk in.

Well, what can we say?? An incredible night of live music at The Maritime Inn for the grand final of Battle of the Bands. Before we get to the bit you all want to know - this year's winner - thanks to everyone involved in making tonight happen! Thanks to Plymouth Waterfront Partnership for allowing the winning band to headline the Christmas lights switch on. Thanks to Andy at The Maritime Inn for hosting, providing the cash prize, and the paid gig for the winners. Thanks to ALL of our judges tonight, including Luke from 3 Days of Wonder, last year's winners, Simon & Andy from Plymouth on Tap, Gordon Barrie, and Kim from PWP - you had an incredibly hard job. We'll be cleaning up the blood spatter for months.

And of course, thanks to The Other Woman - Band, EachOther and Hot Mess Theory for playing out of their boots tonight! There would have been no wrong winner.

There can be only one...

And tonight, the phenomenal HOT MESS THEORY lifted the crown!

Congratulations, and we can't wait to see you play at the Christmas Lights Switch On, and at the Maritime afterwards!!

TONIGHT'S THE NIGHT! Join us at The Maritime Inn on Plymouth Barbican for the GRAND FINAL of this year's Battle of the Bands! Four brilliant bands, one brilliant prize - who will walk away with £500, a paid gig at the Maritime, and the headline slot at this year's Plymouth Barbican Christmas Lights Switch On in November??

Will it be indie rockers Echo.On, upbeat pop/hip-hop purveyors EachOther, female-fronted pop/rockers, with a side of sass, Hot Mess Theory , or all-female dreamy alt-rockers The Other Woman?

Our judging panel is in for a hell of a job tonight, so make sure you're at the Maritime Inn from 7pm, giving the bands some vocal support - YOUR reactions will help them win the prize.
