The deadline for this year's Battle of the Bands at The Maritime Inn on Plymouth Barbican is fast approaching, and we want YOU to enter! If you're in a band with three members or more, all over 16 years of age, and think you've got what it takes to entertain a crowd of thousands at this year's Barbican Christmas Lights Switch On in November, this competition is for you! All we need is a video of your band playing a full song LIVE, from first lyric to last, and you'll go into the sift for the 12 bands invited to play the live heats in the summer, culminating in the grand final on Friday August 28th.

I'm back at The Maritime Inn, on Plymouth Barbican, for open mic night this week - Thursday 21st May! Thanks to Sam Holloway and Lady of the Sea Events for covering the last few weeks while I've been recovering from pneumonia - you guys are incredible.
