Caring at Christmas |
Thank you to all the families and volunteers who joined us on Saturday for our Jeremiah’s Journey Caring at Christmas event.
We know that Christmas can be a particularly difficult time for those who have experienced the death of a loved one, especially when facing the first festive season without them.
This event offered a gentle space to honour and remember that special person, while also enjoying arts and crafts, festive fun, and even a few surprise visits from some very special guests!

“Whenever there’s an event organised by the Jeremiah’s Journey team, it’s always amazing. From the first session to now, we all feel very supported.”
— Dave & Eleanor, bereaved family

National Grief Awareness Week | Growing with Grief

Grief doesn’t shrink with time. We grow around it.
As we mark National Grief Awareness Week, this model reminds us that loss becomes part of our story—not something we “get over,” but something we learn to carry with compassion, courage, and connection.

Next up… Jingle & Mingle Party at The Stoke Inn on Saturday 20th December 2pm-6pm – save the date!

A HUGE thank you to The Stoke Inn!

We are so grateful to The Stoke Inn for choosing Jeremiah’s Journey as their charity for this year’s Jingle & Mingle Christmas Party on Saturday 20th December! Your support will help us provide vital bereavement support to children, young people, and families in Plymouth who need it at a sad and difficult time.

We’re excited to join the festivities, and Jeremiah Bear will be there too to meet all the families!
There will be:
🎶Carol singing to get everyone in the festive spirit
🎅Santa’s grotto for little ones to meet the man himself
🎨Craft stalls full of gifts and treats to buy

There’s no charge to attend – just donations on the day, helping us raise even more for local families in need.

Come along, bring your family, and help us make it a magical day for the community – all while supporting a brilliant cause!

National Grief Awareness Week | The Good Grief Trust

As we mark National Grief Awareness Week, we stand with children, young people, and families learning to grow with their grief. Not alone, but supported, understood, and navigating their own grief journey in their own way.

It's 1st December and lots of you will be opening the first door on your advent calendar today!

Our ambassador Alfie Fothergill has an advent calendar idea with a difference. This month he is going to run the same number of kilometres as the date throughout December. Meaning that his total for the month will build up to an incredible 300km. Alfie runs for Jeremiah's Journey due to the support he received when he was younger.

To support Alfie you can donate at https://checkout.justgiving.com/dhtcvvjee7
or Text EVAMAY to 70450 to donate £5 (texts cost the donation amount plus one standard network rate message).

You can follow he progress through his socials:

This is our why — and it has been for nearly 30 years. ✨

When the weeks feel long and the to-do list never ends, you look up from your desk and see a handwritten star for a memory tree from one of the young people we support… and suddenly everything becomes clear.

Late nights, early mornings — it’s all worth it.

Thank you so much to our hard working, passionate Team JJs and to everyone who helps us make a difference for bereaved local families every day.
