Zuuli has been really fun to play, has become one of mine and my families favourite small and quick games😁.

In Zuuli each year you draft cards into your hand and you aim to draft enclosure, animals and upgrades so that you can max out your points each year, over 3️⃣ years.
Each animal has 3 requirements, the 1st is that it must placed in a enclosure of one of its habitats/colours and the 2nd is it must be placed in an enclosure where the animals are the same type.
There are 2 types of animals friendly❤️and fierce❤️‍🔥, meaning all friendly❤️ animals or all fierce❤️‍🔥 animals in one enclosure not both.
The final requirement is that enclosure has enough space to store the animal.
Animals score points and some have special abilities, at the end of year the added up score of each animal in a enclosure are added up and ✖️ by the enclosure ✖️ amount.( This will be either ✖️0 or✖️1 or ✖️2.)
What I like😃
- Zuuli is game with lots of cards combinations that just make head buzz with excitement for example one of favourite combination is the grizzly bear🐻 and vivarium🏖️ enclosure😁
- There is a decent bit of variety in the cards😄
- I like that there are not too many cards to remember
- The cards feel nice and fair when playing them
- I like the art

What I liked less😅
- Although I like there not being too many cards, It would be nice if there was more cards😀, do you have Zuuli expansion planned for future? (I would buy😄)
In conclusion Zuuli is nice short card draft game about building a zoo and with range of different animals and I don’t know who would not like the amazing but easy to learn synergies that are provided in the game.

DOOMLINGS is a game where you evolve your doomlings through playing down different traits as the world rapidly descends into chaos as it ends.
The world could end in a catastrophe, maybe the icebergs melt flooding the lands, maybe 4 horse men ride into smokes of a dead planet or maybe someone pressed the wrong big red button🔴🫢.
Regardless in DOOMLINGS the world ends💥😮💥!
In DOOMLINGS there are 9 ages and 3 catastrophes in the age pile.
First round there is the birth of life that sets everyone’s gene pool to 5.
Everyone draws 5 cards from the trait pile, and then on a player’s turn they play 1 trait and then stabilise meaning draw up to the amount of your gene pool.
The symbol at the bottom indicates the type card e.g. action, !, end of game, world end effect. The bottom left circle indicates the amount of points the trait is worth, that will be counted up at the end of the game.
Once everyone has had their turn, you draw the next age from the age pile.
The age affects only happens for 1 round and once all 3 catastrophes have been drawn from the age pile the end of world effect of the last catastrophe will happen, the game then ends and then the world ends😮.
What I liked😄 4 different colours with different strategies The synergy of the traits and theme of the game is cool😁 Abundance of expansions (I have not played any expansions, but I know there is a ton😮) All the Doomling are adorable on the cards☺️ Before starting a game you can decide which cards go into the trait pile so you can personalise the game😄 20-45 mins

What I liked less🥲 You can be a bit unlucky with your card draw Because it can be personalised, it can have many great combinations of cards in the trait pile but there is an equal amount of bad combinations in the trait pile
DOOMLINGS overall is a great game, that I would recommend if you want a chaotic burst of fun a perfect game for Christmas with family.
Hopefully there is not a nuclear winter☢️❄️ this Christmas, not on my bucket or Christmas list!😆

This weeks theme for is “Age”.
Recently I went to the Ocean City Game Expo in Plymouth.
This is the second year of this Expo existing and it has grown a lot in 1 year, with many more stalls and people arriving😁.
Met a fellow member who made Take The Throne👑⚔️, exhibited last year and this year.
I had a great look around all the stalls, playing KOMBAT KANGAROO! and selling a ton🤩.
I also played game of Blood on the Clock Tower🩸👹🕰️. The expo was a blast😃, excited for next year.✨😄✨

Terminal Velocity Jump Drive ✨🚀✨full review: Review copy given by .

Terminal velocity is an expansion to Jump drive.
It mainly adds new cards and resources so you can play jump drive with max 5 players instead of 4🤩 and 1 player campaign mode that consist of completing an objective each game for 4 games. (I don’t usually play solo but it is awesome that this expansion offers it😄) .

The expansion also comes with goals that if completed, gives you a discount off cards, military or points. I really enjoy this mechanic as it gives me an incentive to build a certain engine to complete that goal and this make players explore different engines and ultimately making the game more re-playable because I will be less likely to do a similar/same type of engine every game 😄.

Terminal Velocity also adds start worlds.
Each player gets a military start world and a non-military start world, each player may choose to place one at the start of game. Start worlds basically jump starts your card engine in your JUMP DRIVE game😄.

Terminal Velocity is great expansion that I would recommend, it adds even more content to the 20 minute blitz that is Jump Drive✨🤩✨.

In Ascendia the goal is to be the first to win over the trust of the inhabitant villagers of Ascendia and become the Lord of Ascendia before the winter turns everything into a barren ice land🧊.

You gain trust by doing tasks that gain you renown points🟣.
This could be gained by:
. Poisoning rats🐀
. Murder🔪
. Spending resources at the town🟡
. Encounters where you help village folk
. Pacifying a eldritch guardian of the forest👹🌳
On your turn you get 2 actions:
. You can move around the board (Uncovering encounter cards😄)
. Flip over 1 explore token.
. Fight
. Forage for resources to sell at the village
Once at the village there are extra options to take as an action.
Most actions apart from moving and some explore tokens, require you to roll a 6 sided dice that dictates if you fail or succeed.
There are 3 stats that can increase your chances or results that are affected by the weapons, clothes and personal items equipped.
I am enjoying Ascendia it is a nice push your luck game, with great dice rolling action and enough balancing that it offers a bit of control although quite chaotic unless you are skilfully unlucky with your rolls.😆
My strategy is exploring at the start then getting a decently good weapon to increase my fight stat and then murder everything for renown 🟣😆.

What I liked You can tame animals ( Favourite being Featherbeak ) The use of the reroll token being also used as free movement is a cool mechanic Dice rolling action🎲 Huge amount of content📦 Pieces are great quality✨

What I liked less 😅 Renown is blue, when its icon is 🟣 It looks very complex, but it is fairly simple, so may give some people a wrong impressionThe card storage is very good but the poison item and storage item are the wrong way around😆

I would recommend Ascendia as a great gateway game, a game for some nice dice based fun and a harder challenge once you add personal quests and try harder villages😁.

Arcs is an epic space game with resource management, tactical ship movement and my favourite mechanic card synergies🤩.
I have played Arcs twice, once on my birthday and another recently. I am dying to play again😁!
At the start of a chapter or the game everyone draws 6 cards and who ever has initiative marker may place down a lead card. A lead card is the card in which all over players this round must play a card of the same suit/colour.
The player with the initiative mark may place the number 0 on the lead card they then as result place an award token on one of the ambitions. Ambitions are awards that score points and this is basically the only way to score points and win the game!
The lower number on the card the more action/pips you get do for that specific card.
On your go you, either:
* place a card of the same suit of lead card but higher to play all pips for the actions provides for the specific suit; or
* you can (PIVOT) play any card and take 1 action provided by the card that you played; or
* you can (COPY) play any card and take any 1 action provided by the lead card; or
* you can (SEIZE THE INITIATIVE) play 2 cards you immediately have initiative marker next round and you can award token on the ambition.
When it gets to the player who placed down the lead card. Give the initiative marker to player the most recent player who (SEIZE THE INITIATIVE) or played 7. If there was none, then give it to the player who played the highest number of the lead suit. Then it is the player with the initiative markers turn and they may place a new lead card.
This repeats until everyone has run out of all their cards and this means it is an end of the chapter.
When a chapter ends, award tokens are scored. First to a certain amount points depending on player count wins or who ever has the most points after chapter 5 wins.
What I liked🤩
- The resources have different uses and it is satisfying using them.
- The combat is interesting with the mixture of 3 different dice types that you can mix and match.
- The art is spectacular✨🤩
What I liked less😅
- It is bit complicated to teach and remember all the rules

What is Avalon? well in Avalon I am always an assassin🥷🔴! SERIOUSLY, I have been the role 6 times in a row😆.

Avalon
5-10 players
30 minutes
Favourite cards: Assassin🥷🔴, Merlin🧙‍♂️🔵 and Percival🧔‍♂️🔵.

Avalon is a social deduction game by where you play as a loyal servant to King Arthur🔵 or evil followers of mordread🔴.
There are special roles for both evil🔴 and good🔵.

Merlin🧙‍♂️🔵- Knows who is evil.

Assassin🥷🔴- If the Assassin🥷🔴 knows who Merlin🧙‍♂️🔵 is at the end of the game then evil immediately win.

Evil🔴 players know the other Evil🔴 players.
There are also other roles but these are the essentials😁.

In Avalon, someone starts as a leader and then looks at the mission board and depending on what mission you’re on, it will indicate how many players need to be taken on this mission. The leader then decides who goes onto the mission and players can either agree⚪️ or disagree⚫️. If the majority disagrees ⚫️, a token saying you skipped a leader is put onto the mission table and the leader token is passed to the next player on the left.

If the majority agrees⚪️, then players on the mission must put a success if they are good🔵 and if there evil🔴 they may put in a success or a failure in a pile.
The leader must then shuffle these cards and start telling a story and in the story it comes to a point where where we are asked “Do we succeed or not” then:
If a success🔵 is drawn you succeed for now and continue the story.
If you draw a single fail🔴 the mission is a failure but you continue with the story.
If you succeed with no fails🔴 you place a success🔵 token on the mission board. If there is a single fail🔴 or more you place a fail token on the mission.
3 fail tokens means evil wins🔴
3 success tokens means good wins🔵

You usually play with the lady of the lake in the game that make the evil more easy to spot, but I prefer playing without it😄.

In conclusion Avalon is a great social deduction game and definitely one game I am going to sneak into parties😆.
