Eating to Help Your Skin
What you put on your skin matters… but what you put into your body matters too. 🤍
I’m not talking about chasing a “perfect” diet or cutting everything out.
I’m talking about simple habits that support healthy skin from the inside too, balanced meals, enough protein, colourful foods, healthy fats and good hydration.
Your skin is an organ, and like the rest of your body, it needs the right building blocks to function well.
Skincare, treatments, lifestyle and nutrition all work together.

One thing I talk about more and more with clients is keeping meals balanced.
Building meals around protein, fibre and healthy fats can help support steadier blood sugar levels and that can be useful when we’re looking at overall skin health too.
Think less about restriction and more about balance.
Eggs, Greek yoghurt, oats, berries, chicken, nuts, seeds… simple foods, simple habits.
Your skin does not need perfection.
It needs consistency. ➡️
Protein is not just for the gym. 👀
Your skin needs protein too.
Protein provides amino acids the building blocks your body uses for repair, healing and the production of structural proteins including collagen.
So if you’re investing in good skincare and advanced treatments, don’t forget what’s happening internally too.
Fish, eggs, chicken, tofu, Greek yoghurt, beans and pulses can all contribute.
Healthy skin really is a whole-picture approach.
➡️
One of the easiest ways to support your diet?
Add more colour. 🌈
Different fruits and vegetables contain different vitamins, minerals and antioxidant compounds, which all contribute to overall health and can support healthy-looking skin.
Berries.
Spinach.
Peppers.
Tomatoes.
Carrots.
No detoxes.
No miracle foods.
Just more variety, more colour and more consistency.
➡️
Healthy fats deserve far more love when we’re talking about skin.
Fats are an important part of the skin barrier, while adequate hydration supports normal body and skin function.
Think:
Salmon
Avocado
Olive oil
Nuts and seeds
Plenty of fluids
And no drinking litres and litres of water won’t magically “hydrate”
