A short 3D animation to demonstrate how the Non-stop dogwear cooling jacket works, designed to help regulate a dog’s body temperature in hot conditions.

The animation shows how the jacket is soaked in water before use, activating the cooling effect through evaporation. It highlights the lightweight, breathable fabric and how the jacket fits comfortably without restricting movement.

Through clear visuals and concise labelling, the animation explains the science behind the cooling process, making it easy for customers to understand how the product helps keep dogs safe and comfortable in the heat.

Why Marketing (Including Animation) Is More Essential Than Ever in Tough Economic Times

When the economy takes a hit, businesses naturally look to tighten their belts. Budgets are cut, operations streamlined, and often the first department to feel the squeeze is marketing. At first glance, this might seem logical. After all, marketing, branding, and animated content can appear non-essential, “nice to have” rather than “need to have.” But this thinking is short-sighted and can actively harm a business’s long-term health.

In reality, marketing should be one of the last things on the chopping block.

Why?

Because visibility and consistency are everything. When customers have less to spend, they don’t spend it randomly. They go with the brands they remember. The ones they trust. The ones still showing up, even when times are hard.

Standing Out When Others Pull Back

In a crowded market, standing still is falling behind. But in a quiet market, when others go silent, those who keep speaking become the loudest voice in the room. Economic downturns are when smart companies double down on marketing. They understand that brand awareness doesn’t just keep the lights on, it builds momentum.

This is especially true for animation, video, and digital storytelling. These tools communicate quickly, memorably, and powerfully. They cut through noise, humanise a business, and make abstract offerings relatable. More than ever, people crave connection, and animation is one of the fastest routes to emotional engagement in a distracted world.

A Lesson From the Past: Kellogg’s vs. Post

Consider the cereal market during the Great Depression, late 1920s. Two major players, Kellogg’s and Post, dominated. When the economy crashed, Post made the conventional move, they scaled back their marketing. Kellogg’s, meanwhile, doubled its ad budget. They invested in radio and launched the now-iconic Rice Krispies campaign: “Snap, Crackle, Pop.”

The result?

Kellogg’s profits grew nearly 30%, and they emerged as the industry leader, a position they’ve held ever since. Their bold decision to invest while others retreated paid off exponentially.

Marketing Is Not a Luxury — It’s Your Lifeline to Stay in the Game

Visibility builds trust. Trust drives action. Action sustains business. In uncertain times, your story matters more, not less. When you reduce your efforts, you lose “share of mind” and future sales.

So rather than viewing marketing, animation, and digital content as costs to cut, see them for what they are: strategic investments in visibility, relevance, and resilience. When everyone else goes quiet, that’s your cue to speak louder and smarter.

We were commissioned by Tamar Valley National Landscape to create an eye-catching promotional film blending still photography with cinematic aerial footage.

By transforming photos into 2.5D space and adding subtle motion, we brought the landscape to life with a fresh sense of depth and immersion. These animated visuals are seamlessly paired with sweeping aerial shots, capturing the Tamar Valley’s rolling hills, winding rivers, and historic landmarks in all their glory. The result? A captivating visual journey that showcases both the beauty and accessibility of this protected landscape.

Community isn’t just about where we live — it’s about the support we give and receive through all of life’s ups and downs.

As we mark Mental Health Awareness Week next week, 12-18 May 2025, I’m reminded how powerful positive, supportive communities can be for our mental well-being. When we feel connected, seen, and valued, it makes a real difference.

Connection. Compassion. Coping. Care. Community. These things are crucial — and I’m incredibly grateful to those who check in, show up, and remind me of the strength we find in each other.Let’s keep the conversation going and continue building spaces where everyone feels they belong and can thrive.

On 8 May 1945, the guns of war fell silent across Europe. Victory in Europe Day marked the end of years filled with sacrifice, resilience, and hope. Now, 80 years later, we commemorate this historic milestone with a 3D animation that takes us on a journey through time – from the battlefields of war, with gunfire echoing in the background, to Buckingham Palace, where jubilant crowds filled The Mall, and finally to a modern-day street adorned with flags flying from every house. This animation is more than a tribute: it’s a heartfelt reminder of the courage and strength of those who endured and the lives lost in pursuit of freedom. VE Day stands as a powerful reminder of the importance of remembering our history and the sacrifices made for peace. By honouring their legacy, we reaffirm our commitment to unity and resilience. At Pushed, we are proud to use animation to capture these significant moments, ensuring remembrance is not just about looking back; it’s about carrying their legacy forward. Lest we forget.
