Falmouth Mob Match 5 mile run ⛅️

Join me Clive Finnimore for a virtual run round the Falmouth mob match. Today I joined the Looe Pioneers for the final race of the Cornish GP series.

The race is measured 5 miles, starting around the magnificent Pendennis Headland, along Falmouth's iconic seafront - passing the renowned Gyllyngvase and Swanpool beaches - before a fast finish outside the famous Falmouth Hotel.

Well done to everyone who took part today and a big thank you to all the volunteers, Marshalls and helpers… a big shout out to Falmouth running club for putting on this awesome event..

New exhibitor announcement 📣 arcofattritionbyutmb 🙌

About the event
Arc of Attrition by UTMB will see competitors tackling some of Cornwall's finest coastal trails in tough and unpredictable winter conditions at the end of January. Born in 2015, Arc of Attrition has grown from a single 100 mile foot race with 50 competitors to be recognised as one of the UK's largest and most in-demand winter trail events offering multiple race distances. With relentless terrain and unpredictable weather, this isn’t for the faint-hearted.

When runners from across the UK and beyond descend on the Cornwall community, they bring energy, stories, and global recognition to the beautiful and raw Cornish coastline. Local businesses thrive during a typically quiet time of year, communities come together, and the world watches as Cornwall takes centre stage in the ultra-running world.

⛅️Mount Edgecombe Parkrun Timelapse 19JUL25Run https://youtu.be/ieW6yeSGpOc?si=duxUtxeS9NRoRHgR virtually with Clive Finnimore at Mount Edgecombe Parkrun on Virtual FMR & Cornish Runner Channels YouTube. This real life run route is 5km at an average runner speed of 10.2 km/h, but feel free to run as fast or slow as you like. The run lasts 28:51 minutes and includes ambient sounds with no music.Course SummaryThe course is 5000m (5k) long. The course is at Mount Edgcumbe House and Country Park, Cremyll, Torpoint. The course is run on a mixture of tarmac paths, trail paths and grassCourse DescriptionMount Edgcumbe parkrun offers an off-road course where 'up hill' means stunning views and reaped rewards. Set inside the grounds of Mount Edgcumbe House and Country Park, we present a mixed-terrain offering, with two of the three miles being grass and trail - off road/trail shoes are recommended. We meet by the main house where parkrunners can leave coats and belongings, as well as join the First Timers' Briefing. We then take a short warmup walk/jog down to the start together. The route begins on the wide boulevard drive near 'Aunty Em's Gatehouse', close to the lower gate at Cremyll. From here, head south. The drive turns left with Drakes Island straight ahead in eye-line (later to be seen from above!). Take the tarmac drive round to the right, remaining on the path and head over the bump towards the duck pond. Here the course follows the path up towards the main house then turning left up through the woods. The course takes in the top part of the Folly Slope and enjoys stunning views of Plymouth Sound, the Breakwater and Cawsand Bay - walking is celebrated if only to take it all in! Returning back down the grassy slope and back through the woods, the finish is in front of the Mount Edgcumbe House... and a short step from the Farriers Cafe. The course presents an almost-out-and-back route, with the start and finish approximately 500m apart.
