🌈 To the Mum of an Autistic Child 💛
We see you. We truly see you.
The world doesn’t always understand the invisible weight you carry, the daily advocacy, the sensory overloads, the unpredictable routines, the love so fierce it hurts… and the exhaustion that no one seems to talk about.
Some days are full of joy, others feel impossibly heavy and both are valid.
💬 “You’re so strong” they say, but we know some days you don’t feel strong at all.
💬 “You’re doing amazing” and maybe you are, but you just want someone to ask how you’re really doing, validation goes along way.
Here’s your gentle reminder:
🌿 It’s okay to cry.
🌿 It’s okay to feel overwhelmed.
🌿 It’s okay to need a break.
🌿 It’s okay to say, “This is hard.”
And it’s more than okay to put yourself on your own list of priorities.
Self-Care Isn’t Selfish: ✨ Step outside for 5 minutes, we all need time out from time to time.
✨ Journal your emotions, even the messy ones.
✨ Take a deep breath and remind yourself, "you are doing your best and that's more than enough".
✨ Ask for help. Let someone in. You don’t have to do this alone.
At Mothers Matter, we understand.
We’re not here to fix, judge or comment we’re here to listen.
💛 Our Parenting Centre is your safe space.
A place where tears are welcome.
Where silence is honoured.
Where your story matters, just as like you do.
You don’t have to carry this on your own.
Come as you are. We’re here when you’re ready. 🫶
