THEY'VE DONE IT!

Manchester United qualified for the UEFA Champions League after beating Liverpool at Old Trafford 3-2!

Liverpool put on a tough performance and came back to level the score at 2-2! But ultimately United proved why they deserve to be back in the Champions League next season. From a rocky start to the season and the sacking of Ruben Amroim to Michael Carrick stepping into Old Trafford and turning the clubs mentality, spirit and just about everything that had gone wrong in previous seasons.

The scenes around Manchester tonight will be electric. Manchester truly is red! It would be lovely to see Manchester United back in the UEFA Champions League for the 2026/27 season.

Now the question is surely to be asked.... Will Michael Carrick land the permanent manager position at Old Trafford?

Anyone travelling over the M4 Eastbound from Junction 23- 22 on the Prince of Wales Bridge on the following dates:

Between the hours of 21:00 - 0600 each day this section will be closed due to urgent structural work! Diversion via M48 eastbound Jct 2 exit and entry slip roads, 7.5T weight limit suspended with traffic light control

They are staying up !!!! Newport County survived at the SO Legal Stadium today against Barrow with a 2-1 victory to the away side!

For County fans and the team it can only feel like Christmas day for them after what can only be described as a hard season for them.

In more local football news Race AFC defeated New Inn today at Pontypool college in the Candour Talent Gwent Central Open Cup Semi Final with a 3-1 win to the home side ultimately seeing their progression further in the cup !

The biggest win for today was Clydach Wasps (Reserves) with their fixture against Pontnewynydd AFC (Reserves) with a triumphant 5-1 victory at the Clydach Recreation Ground!
