"මේක මට 2009 ඉදලම ගම්පහ දිස්ත්රික්කේ ඉදලා
කොලඹ දිස්ත්රික්කෙට ඉස්කෝලෙ ගිය මට,
හොදටම මතක frame එකක්. හරියටම මේ කැලණි ගඟ උඩින් යන පාලමෙන් තමා කොලඹයි ගම්පහයි වෙන් වෙන්නේ. ඒ frame එක ඇතුලේ නොතිබ්බ ගොඩක් දේවල් අද ඒ frame එකට ඇඩ් වෙලා. කරත්ට්ග ගිය පාරවල් අද ලෝකේ අලුත්ම වාහන ඕන එකක් යන්න පුළුවන් මට්ටමට
ගොඩනැගිලා. ලංකාවේ පළවෙනි එල්ලෙන පාලම උඩින් යද්දී දකුණු ආසියාවේ උසම කුළුණ පේනවා. ඒ කාලේ ඒ frame එක මම දැක්කේ ටිකක් ඈතින් පලින්. අද ඒකම මම ටිකක් ලගින්, උඩින් දකිනවා. ලෝකේ මොන තරාතිරමක මොන ජගතෙක් ආවත්
කටුනායක ඉදලා කොලඹට එනකොට දකින්නේ මේ
frame එක. මේක මේ රටට එන ඕනෙම කෙනෙක්ට හොඳ impression එකක්. හවසට මේ frame එකේ තියෙන්නේ මාරම ලස්සනක් 💫❤️"
This is a frame (view) that I remember very well, since I started school in the Colombo district from the Gampaha district in 2009.
It is precisely this bridge over the Kelani River that separates Colombo and Gampaha. Many things that weren't in that frame have been added to it today. The old roads have been developed to a standard where any of the world's newest vehicles can drive on them.
When traveling over the country's first extradosed (or suspension-like) bridge, you can see the tallest tower in South Asia (the Lotus Tower). Back then, I used to see that frame from a distance. Today, I see the very same thing up close, from above.
No matter who comes to this country—from any country, or any status—this is the first frame they see when coming to Colombo from Katunayake (Bandaranaike International Airport). This gives a good impression to anyone arriving in the country. In the evening, this frame holds a marvelous beauty. 💫❤️
2009 ஆம் ஆண்டு முதல் கம்பஹா மாவட்டத்தில் இருந்து கொழும்பு மாவட்டத்திற்குப் பள்ளிக்குச் சென்ற எனக்கு, இது மிகவும் நினைவிருக்கும் ஒரு 'ஃப்ரேம்' (காட்சி).
சரியாக இந்த கேளனி ஆற்றின் மீதுள்ள பாலம்தான் கொழும்பையும் கம்பஹாவையும் பிரிக்கிறது. அந்தக் காட்சியில் இல்லாத பல விஷயங்கள் இன்று அந்தக் காட்சிக்குள் சேர்க்கப்பட்டுள்ளன. உலகின் அதிநவீன வாகனங்கள் எதுவாக இருந்தாலும் பயணிக்கக்கூடிய அளவிற்கு வீதிகள் இன்று அபிவிருத்தி அடைந்துள்ளன.
நாட்டின் முதலாவது எக்ஸ்ட்ராடோஸ்டு பாலத்தின் (தூக்குப்பாலம் போன்ற) மீது பயணிக்கும்போது, தெற்காசியாவின் மிக உயரமான கோபுரம் (தாமரைக் கோபுரம்) தெரிகிறது. அந்தக் காலங்களில், அந்தக் காட்சியைக் கொஞ்சம் தூரத்தில் இருந்து பார்ப்பேன். இன்று அதே காட்சியைக் கிட்டவாகவும், மேலேயிருந்தும் பார்க்கிறேன்.
உலகில் எந்த நிலையிலிருக்கும் யார் கட்டுநாயக்கவில் (விமான நிலையம்) இருந்து கொழும்புக்கு வந்தாலும், அவர்கள் பார்க்கும் முதல் காட்சி இதுதான். இது நாட்டிற்கு வரும் எவருக்கும் ஒரு நல்ல பதிவை (impression) அளிக்கிறது. மாலையில், இந்தக் காட்சியின் அழகு அற்புதமாக இருக்கிறது 💫❤️
