🥘 We had a great day in Our Aberdare for the Food and Drink Festival!

The town was buzzing and the atmosphere was amazing! 🤩

We were in Llantrisant earlier for the Medieval Fayre which was on today and again tomorrow.

With archers and craft makers, soldiers, a King and Queen and an archery where you can taste some mead and learn some Medieval dances.

All organised by Llantrisant Guildhall

Our Fireworks Night returns on Saturday 1st November, and it’s set to be another good one 🚀🎇

👉 Timetable Update from 08/09/2025

Please be advised there are timetable changes from Monday on the 90, 100 and 111 services.

We are making these changes to provide a more reliable service and to further support school transport in our community.

Summary:

🔹The first 90 service will run 13 minutes earlier, 07:45 from Tonteg Chemist. The 16:40 from Gwaunmiskin is retimed to 16:50. From Pontypridd, the 15:55 is retimed to 16:05 and the 17:25 retimed to 17:35.

🔹On the 100 service, the school only journey to Tonteg has a revised earlier timing. The 14:55 now departs directly from Bryn Celynnog School.

🔹On the 111 service, the 15:05 is retimed to 15:10 from Rhydfelen, the 16:05 from Ty Rhiw is retimed to 16:10.

We're undertaking a programme of vegetation management along the Aberdare line 𝐟𝐫𝐨𝐦 𝐀𝐛𝐞𝐫𝐜𝐲𝐧𝐨𝐧 𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐭𝐨 𝐂𝐰𝐦𝐛𝐚𝐜𝐡 𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧. We’ll be progressing north up the track.

We’ll be working at night from 𝟑𝟎 𝐀𝐮𝐠𝐮𝐬𝐭 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟓 𝐭𝐨 𝟐𝟖 𝐅𝐞𝐛𝐫𝐮𝐚𝐫𝐲 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟔.

On Sunday 7 September at 3pm, the UK government will test the Emergency Alerts system. This system warns you via your mobile or tablet if there's a life-threatening emergency nearby.

The test will be sent to all compatible 4G and 5G mobile phones and tablets across the UK. You will hear a loud siren-like sound, vibration, and a message will appear on the screen. The sound and vibration will last for about 10 seconds. You do not need to take any action.

⚠️ You MUST NOT hold a mobile phone while driving or riding a motorcycle. It is illegal to do so. If you receive an alert while driving, do not pick up your phone and attempt to deal with the message. Continue driving as normal, staying in full control of your vehicle. If you feel the need to look at your phone, you must find a safe and legal place to pull over first.
