🎄Get Ready for Pontypridd’s Christmas Cracker! 🎄

The countdown to Christmas starts here! Join us in Pontypridd town centre on Friday, November 21st, from 4.30pm to 7.30pm for our annual Christmas Cracker celebration.

There’ll be plenty of festive fun for everyone, with fairground rides, children’s entertainers, market stalls, and live music from GTFM. It’s the perfect way to kick off the Christmas season with family and friends.

🎅Don’t forget to visit Santa’s Grotto at Pontypridd Museum on Saturday December 6th, 13th and 20th, between 11am and 3pm. Entry is free, though donations to the Mayor’s charity are always appreciated.

Come along, soak up the atmosphere, and enjoy the magic of Christmas in Pontypridd!

Caerphilly is waking up this morning to a new Member of the Senedd.

Plaid Cymru’s Lindsay Whittle has officially won the constituency, after securing 47.38% of the Caerphilly By Election vote share last night with 15,961 votes, Reform UK came second with 12,113 votes (35.9%), ending Labour’s 100 year run.

The official turnout of the vote was 50.43%, the biggest turnout in any Senedd election.

Lindsay Whittle paid tribute to Hefin David in his winning speech, saying he will be a "hard act to follow".

"I will never fill his shoes but I assure you I will walk the same path that he did."

He urges the Cardiff and Westminster governments to listen, saying he wants a "better deal" for every corner of Wales.

Following the historic win for Plaid Cymru at the Caerphilly By Election, Plaid Cymru’s Westminster leader Liz Saville-Roberts says: "It is a very good morning in Wales."

Writing on X, Saville-Roberts pays tribute to the "legendary Lindsay Whittle".

"Congratulations on your historic victory for Plaid Cymru.
"My heart’s thanks to the people of Caerphilly".
