Two and a half years of working nights.

That’s what it took for Ian Elliot and Alex Brown to turn an idea into Elliot Brown Watches.

After finishing their day jobs, they’d start again at 6pm, often working until 9 or 10 at night, with one clear ambition:

“Let’s make the most indestructible watches in the world.”

It’s easy to see the finished business. Less visible are the evenings, persistence and belief that went into getting it there.

Blind faith.

Sometimes, that’s what it takes to build a business.

For Ian Elliot, belief in the product has always been fundamental. From Animal to Elliot Brown Watches, he’s built products he genuinely loves, uses and believes in himself.

As Ian puts it:

“If you don’t believe in your product, you shouldn’t be doing it.”

Blind faith might sound risky. But sometimes you need a little of it to create something worth backing.
