It's the final week of July and we're still celebrating Disability Pride Month here at Sun & Moon. We're highlighting another SpecialEffect title we've recently turned into a mobile app, the adorable, and oftentimes super mischievous Badger Badger!

What more do you need to know about this game? Other than you'll get to help Badger protect her home from Mole, and all the other annoying critters, who keep disturbing her slumber!

Happy Monday, folks! This week we have a silly Q&A as part of our series where we answered some of YOUR burning questions about the animation industry! 🧠👀

We absolutely LOVE receiving questions like this, as it shows the entire nature of animation. We're just kids at heart, fortunate enough to be able to make cartoons for a living! So naturally, we don't take ourselves too seriously, but... we did think long and hard about this one.

This week the Doctor is back, and helping us celebrate Fan Art Friday! 💥‼️😎

We've mentioned this time and time again, but we LOVE Doctor Who, and this cracking piece is from director and showrunner Sam Shaw.

Another at the studio, and we're highlighting our staff favourites! This week we're hearing from Alderney Middleton, Head of Production. She's chosen Regenerators for BBC Bitesize. 🌍

On why she adores it so much: "It was super exciting to be working on a project focussed on the green curriculum for school kids. The idea was a hopeful spin on climate change and solutions led to empower future generations, an idea I absolutely loved and our director Dan did so well leading and bringing to life. We had a wonderful cast of new VO talent that allowed us to work authentically with our voices and let them play with the script to adapt to how they would speak on their vlog. The result is lovely, charming and also got projected onto a building at COP, which was an extra moment of pride for the team!"

Super-duper excited that Passenger will be playing at the upcoming Women x Film Festival 2025! We're massive fans of the work they do championing female filmmakers and can't wait for audiences in Darlington to experience our short in September.

This week as part of Sun & Moon's Staff Favourites, a series where we ask staff here at the studio their most cherished projects, is Creative Director Dan Keeble's pick: the Life Is Strange Nintendo Launch trailer.

"The Life is Strange animations we've done are among my favourite. We get to work with crazy talented people and work on a property that has a loyal fanbase that really cares about the characters. Each piece is very cinematic and full of emotion so it's fun to stretch our story telling.

It's Disability Pride Month, and we're highlighting some of the SpecialEffect games we've recently turned into mobile apps, starting with Othello!

In this space-themed title, the objective is to change the majority of the pieces on the board to your colour by the end of the game. You switch your opponent’s pieces to your own colour by placing your pieces either side of one or more of theirs. 🤯💥
