The Food & Cider Weekend 2025 is set for September 4th-7th. Expect a brilliant time with loads of events, artisan food, drink, and cider!

🍏 Meet the Team...up next, Alanna 🍏

Hi, I’m Alanna, and honestly, I’m not really sure what to write about myself! 😅 So lets give this a go....

I’ve always been involved behind the scenes here at Long Meadow, but I officially joined the family business full-time just over two years ago (I was busy before that… contributing to the 4th generation of Long Meadow! 😉).

Since then, it’s been all go—whether it’s sales, tours, cider talks, or logistics, I’ve had a hand (or two) in it all!

I like to say I’m a bit of a mix between both our Cathy and Patsy—and I tend to fly between the two of them, always floating between the orchard, the office, and everything in between. From helping with sales to welcoming tour groups and spreading the story of Long Meadow far and wide, I’m proud to be part of this next chapter in our journey.

Thanks for following along and supporting our crazy family—we wouldn’t be here without you! 💛

Meet Catherine aka our Cathy—our mum, our heart, and the glue that holds Long Meadow together. She’s the one making sure everything (and everyone!) is cared for, with a quiet strength and warmth that keeps the whole place running smoothly.

Catherine leads our tourism experiences, and truthfully, Long Meadow’s tours wouldn’t be what they are today without her passion, care, and attention to every single visitor. Whether it’s welcoming guests with a warm smile or sharing stories of our family’s journey, Mum makes everyone feel at home from the moment they arrive.

And of course—we can’t forget the baking! From her famous apple tarts to her traditional griddle bread, Cathy’s homemade treats are the stuff of local legend. Have you tried them? Which one’s your favourite?
