From “Branch: Lost Railway Lines of New South Wales and Victoria” by William Cope. New South Wales Government Railways 3203 (Beyer, Peacock and Company, Manchester, No 3402 of 1891) on a tour train to Crookwell, 15 July 1978. The Goulburn–Crookwell branch opened on 22 April 1902, linking the rich pastoral district with the Main Southern Railway. It transformed the transport of wool, wheat, livestock and fertiliser, while later CPH rail motors improved passenger services. Declining freight led to closure in 1985, though Crookwell station survives as a heritage attraction. “Branch” is available at Amazon in large format, full colour hardback, paperback or e-book.
