Radio Skye will be bringing you a special Remembrance Sunday broadcast from 9am with selected readings and music including Morag Henriksen's special war time story from 9:20am and Cllr Drew Millar reading the poem Grandfather's Hand. At 10.30am Suzy Lee and Jamie McDonald will be live from Somerled Square at the Portree War Memorial.

This Remembrance Sunday, Radio Skye presents a special feature from journalist Jamie McDonald exploring the lives and legacy of those across Skye, Raasay and Lochalsh impacted by conflict.

The programme hears from:
• Thomas Wilson, former Paratrooper and Portree Parade Commander
• Catherine MacPhee from the Skye & Lochalsh Archive Centre
• Author David Macleod, whose book 'More Than Just a Name' tells the stories behind the Lochalsh War Memorial
• Voices from the archive

With music from the Skye Wind Band, this reflective piece details the courage, loss and continued remembrance in our island communities.
