We had a magical Pride this year, and we hope you did too.
Like previous years, we have been working on this for 9 months, and whilst we can plan it, we can't do this by ourselves.
It truly takes a village to put on an event like this, and we really could not have done this without the following amazing folks:
The Highland Pride committee - Beth, Dani, Gavin, Nadia, Neil, Rosemary, Roz, Simon, and Tim.
Our volunteers, who gave their time generously - and some of you returning for many years now - thank you so so much.
The The National Lottery Community Fund Scotland for their 2025 grant, which made sure we could make the events free again this year.
Our Sponsors Macleod Roofing Ltd, Lifescan, Eastgate Shopping Centre (for your support and for providing Falcon Square as our start point), Tailormade Moves Estate Agents, XOKO, M&H Carriers, Parklands Care Home, Mary MacFarlane Financial Planning, Highland Gift Shop (& for the surprise gift bags), DM Elite Training, and Unite the union.
We really couldn't have the Parade and Market, or the Bridge lights and Pride Flag over the Inverness Townhouse without the guidance, support, and approval of The Highland Council
We want to thank the members of the Police Scotland and Police Scotland Allies team who stopped traffic, and supported the Parade through the city centre.
Margaret and the Inverness City Centre BID team (and BID Security), who have tirelessly promoted Pride, and have created a Pride Tour of Inverness on their "Love Inverness" App, which we hope will be a lasting (and growing legacy) from this year's even better connections with business.
What would the Pride Market and Party have been without the AWESOME Eden Court Theatre and Cinema teams? A special shout out to Kirstie, Lewis and Siobhan, and all the front of House, back of House, bar crew, and technical teams who made everything work so well.
We want to call out Circus Artspace who as well as providing the creative 'zine space in the Jim Love Studio, held a placard making drop in workshop on Friday 6th June - and we saw them all in the Pride Parade!
We were pleased to welcome Emma Roddick MSP, Councillor Sarah Fanet SNP, and Lady Carbisdale - who all spoke eloquently about the importance of visibility, activism, and inclusion.
Thank you to all the LEAP Sports Scotland partners, the Scotland Fire Service, and all our market stall holders, for creating such a great atmosphere.
Special praise for our stage stars Venus Guytrap, Dashh-, and Sugar Browne - who gave us epic performances and an unforgettable finale.
We hand over the baton now to Pride Stranraer on the 14th June, and of course the first Pride in Thurso on 21st June - wish them and all the Prides to come the best in creating visibility and celebrating the wonderful diversity of the LGBTQ+ community in Scotland.
