Our Dojo is located in Portsmouth in multiple locations across the PO8 areas and Portsmouth! We host lessons six days a week in the dojo and offer something to the community that Portsmouth can be proud of. We feel that training in martial arts is about more than simply learning to punch and kick, it serves an important educational purpose and parents should take careful consideration when choosing the right martial arts school for their child. We have been teaching for almost 3 decades and have worked with a large number of children and adults in the area. We are the most affordable martial arts school in the area! Head instructor and founder Jamie Seal has been training in and teaching martial arts for the past 29 years. He is assisted by Assistant Instructor Alexandra Pascal who particularly focuses on teaching Kickboxing. Over the years Jamie has developed an extensive martial arts portfolio studying a wide variety of martial arts such as Shotokan Karate, Judo, AGMA Jujutsu, Aikikai Aikido, Sinawali, FMA, Combatives and predominantly Ninjutsu. Jamie is a 8th Dan and studies with some of the best instructors in the UK. Jamie has also studied a variety of traditional Japanese Ryuha (Schools) of weaponry such as Kukishin Ryu that looks at the use of a wide variety of traditional weaponry such as the Rokkushakubo (6ft Staff), Yari (Spear), Naginata (Halberd), Katana (Sword), Nawajutsu (Rope Fighting), Juhyo (Rope Dart), Shuriken (Throwing Blades), Tanto (Knife), Shoto (Short Sword), Jo (4ft Staff), Hanbo (3ft Staff), Tessen (Iron Fan), Kunai (Trowel), Kusarifundo (Weight and Chain), Yumi (Bow), Nunchaku and much more! He also runs a school of Shurikenjutsu (Spike, Knife & Axe Throwing) and a weapons shop that designs and produces custom knives and equipment. Jamie has a wealth of teaching experience running the dojo and other businesses with a particular specialisation in the production and use of traditional weaponry such as building custom Nihontō (Japanese Swords) and restoring historical pieces. He has a passion for Ninjutsu and martial arts with real world application and has been on the martial arts circuit for many years, teaching and training with a variety of well known martial artists in his career so far. Jamie's passion for teaching martial arts is ever present in his work with with the students but especially with the children. He believes that training in martial arts provides an extremely positive outlet for the students especially for children struggling with anxiety or confidence issues. Jamie genuinely wants to give back to the young students who are less confident or struggling with discipline and show them how to bring out the warrior inside them to make them more positive in their day to day lives! He believes that training in martial arts helps students learn valuable core values and life skills that have helped him progress to where he is today. He knows that by helping children to develop life skills, respect, discipline, commitment and determination then they will be fully equipped to succeed to the best of their abilities in the future. Jamie's mission is to change the students lives as positively as his has been changed through training in martial arts! We also have a great community for our adult members and host regular seminars with some of the best instructors in the UK!
