My 3rd year of working on the Opus stage - what a difference a year makes when the sun shines 🌞
I just wanted to thank everyone I've seen this weekend, new friends, old friends and random strangers alike.
This festival is the highlight of my work schedule every year and it's because of how amazing the community of rock and metal people are, the crazy fu***rs in the village, throwing out plastic fish on rods and catching a man dressed as a shark, 🤣 or the random guy in the crowd at president yesterday who gave me a cigarette.
My favourite thing about this job isn't getting to work with the artists, or getting a free ticket to a music festival. We work ourselves to the bone with minimal thanks, live off of abhorrent catering, we get shouted at, work 16hr shifts in the baking sun to make sure you guys enjoy your show, on time and without interruption...... My favourite thing is it's watching you guys going absolutely fu***ng crazy in the pit, living your best lives.
