Leaving a gift for Ozzy 🦇🖤

📽️SHORT VIDEO COMING SOON!

I remember a while back, Sharon Osbourne said fans had left crystals outside the house for Ozzy Osbourne which was a beautiful touch as they refracted the light around his grave.

Today while nearby, I left a plant pot with a bat hanger and a crystal light refractor out of respect and in memory of Ozzy. ✌🏻

If you were leaving a tribute for the Prince of Darkness, what colour crystal would you choose? 🦇

‘It was a good game as well as the game!’ 🙏🏻💙

A spine-tingling tribute to the LEGEND aka Alan Knight MBE today. Fratton Park stood completely silent in memory of Pompey’s greatest goalkeeper and ambassador. Seeing his family lay the wreath was an incredibly emotional moment for everyone in the ground. 🥲

What a cracking result for the club to follow it up, with plenty of positives to take from that 2-0 performance! Alan is definitely looking down proud tonight. 🙏🏻

What did you think of the game today, and the tributes before kick-off? Leave your comments and memories of Alan below! 👇🏻

“It was a good day apart from the game!” 🔵⚪️

Walking up to Fratton Park tonight, the sheer amount of love for Alan Knight was overwhelming. 🔵⚪️

I wanted to head down this evening to quietly pay my respects, leave a potted plant, and write a little something in the book of condolences over in the Legends Lounge. Seeing the flowers and messages building up really brings home what a monumental loss this is for our city. 🥲

Standing there got me thinking about the times I was lucky enough to work alongside him during my radio days. If you ever spent time with Alan, you'll know exactly the kind of infectious humour he carried with him.

One memory that will always make me smile was a freezing away trip up to Fleetwood Town. Pompey were under Ritchie Barker at the time, and to put it politely, the result was torrid. But Alan? He kept the entire trip alive with non-stop jokes and brilliant company. We even ended up in a famous local chippy, randomly bumping into the bloke who wrote the Agadoo song—a completely surreal moment that Alan absolutely loved and always remembered so fondly.
As we left that day, he turned to me and summed it up perfectly: “It was a good day apart from the game!”

That was Alan all over. A phenomenal goalkeeper, a thoroughly deserving MBE, and an absolute gentleman who represented Portsmouth Football Club with pure class. 💙

I've attached a few photos from the memorial tonight, and I’m currently putting together a proper tribute video that I'll be sharing with you all in due course.

Remember, you can leave a message for Alan & his family by popping down to Fratton Park and visiting the Legends Lounge - open from 10am - 7pm until Friday! 🕯️ Alternatively, you can leave a message online - LINK IN COMMENTS ⬇️

Until then, I’d love to read your stories. What’s your favourite memory of the great man? Drop it in the comments below to help celebrate a true Pompey Legend taken far too soon. 👇🏻

Absolutely devastating news to hear regarding Alan Knight’s passing 🥲

I worked with Alan on a couple of occasions during my radio days. One trip in particular I remember is when Pompey were away to Fleetwood Town. Despite a torrid result for then Ritchie Barker’s side, Alan kept me in good spirits with plenty of jokes and good company. We met a chap who wrote the Agadoo song in his famous chippy and Alan remembered this so fondly. It was a great occasion despite the defeat which I remember his famous words; ‘it was a good day apart from the game!’

He will be missed by many and deservedly was awarded an MBE for his services. He was a great goalkeeper and a fine representative of Portsmouth Football Club. 🔵⚪️
