How cool is this? To have my name/business on a board at a golf club in recognition for the (very small part) I’ve played is just way beyond what I ever imagined when I started this journey 5 years ago!

Thank you Milnathort Golf Club - it’s an absolute pleasure to work with such a wonderful golf club!

THAT FEELING WHEN YOU HIT THE NEW SRIXON ZXi7 OUT THE MIDDLE!

Srixon irons have been recognised for their amazing feel over the last few generations, but these new ZXi7 irons might have just ended the game for the rest of the brands - they feel INCREDIBLE!

Are you putting these on your test list?

SPEED TRAINING SESSION 🚀💨🏌️‍♂️

When you’re old, slow and injury prone just like me, maintaining your Clubhead Speed (let alone adding to it) becomes something you actually have to work on!

Yet this year a couple of back injuries have meant I’d slipped out of my gym routine and my driver Clubhead Speed dropped about 3mph to 90mph - not something my average swing speeds are in a position to give up!

So finally injury free, 6 weeks back into the gym AND still feeling incredibly inspired by what I watched at the and meeting the guys at inc. my pal I decided now was the right time to head into the studio and see where we were at!

The good news is I’m back cruising at 93-94mph and managed to hit a new PB on TrackMan of 96.7mph!

The quest for the 100mph swing speed continues but feeling more motivated than ever to get there! Let’s go! 💪🏻💯🔜

TESTING THE NEW SRIXON ZXi5+ IRONS!

The new Srixon ZXi5+ did something I hadn’t seen before when testing Players Distance irons: the delivered exceptional distance without compromising on spin!

That meant that as I was hitting shots you started to get reactions like this as the ball exploded off the face, delivered a really high ball flight and just went for miles!

I’ve had my irons on Srixon irons for a while now, but these ones might be the model that convinces me to put a set in the bag! What do you think?

INTRODUCING THE NEW SRIXON ZXi7 IRONS!

Whilst I might not be the target market for the new Srixon ZXi7 irons, I couldn’t resist giving them a hit to see just how good they felt and if they were forgiving enough to consider even for a combo set… and wow am I glad I did!

The Pureframe IQ face technology combined with the i-Forged hosel design has taken the already amazing feel and made it even more buttery soft! Shots out the middle feel great, yet the forgiveness of these irons seriously impressed me too!

Add in great spin rates, a strong ball flight, good distance even with the more traditional lofts and a compact tour inspiring players shaping and I think it’s fair to say that the best just got better!

Single figure golfers, you’re gonna love these! As for us mid-handicappers - are you tempted by the combo set like me?

TESTING THE NEW SRIXON ZXi5 IRONS!

Amongst all the things that impressed me about the new Srixon ZXi5 irons, it was the ball flight and spin rate that really stood out, with both far exceeding anything I’ve seen in my testing! Loads of spin, tons of peak height and a land angle typically seen from a wedge, not a 7 iron!

Add in the fact I didn’t have to compromise on distance and had Srixon’s superb feels and it’s no surprise that these have jumped right to the top of my “want” list!

INTRODUCING THE NEW SRIXON ZXi5 & SRIXON ZXi5+!

Srixon have just announced their brand new irons including the next generation ZXi5 and a brand new model the ZXi5+!

Two forged players distance offerings for two different profiles of golfer.

The Srixon ZXi5 is all about control! Think compact players design, loads of spin and a strong towering ball. Whilst the Srixon ZXi5+ offers a slightly more confidence inspiring look, a touch more forgiveness and a lorry load of distance!

Both feature Srixon’s new i-Forged construction, MainFrame IQ face technology, the Tour V.T Sole and Srixon’s industry leading soft feel so whichever one you pick you’re not compromising on technology or feels!

Want to see how these irons perform in the hands of the target golfer and work out which model is right for you? Check out my in depth review now!

This is without a doubt the longest driver I’ve ever hit, because in one filming session I hit all 3 of my longest drives ever on TrackMan with it…

So, which driver is it? Titleist GTS2!

For average swing speed players of a mid-handicap I don’t think you’ll test a longer driver based on the ball speeds and distances I saw from it across the face! Wow!

Hey do you fancy sending me one pleas???

The final course vlog from this year’s Scotland trip and it’s an absolute cracker! Muckhart Golf Club is one of those golf courses I drive past a lot but had never had the chance to pop into before now and wow have I been missing out!

Blessed with three brilliant but very different 9 hole loops there’s so much variety to go with the quality on offer.

On this visit I played the Arndean, offering stunning backdrops of the Ochil Hills and panoramic views on the top holes that reward you for the gentle climb over the first 4 holes before bringing you gently back to the sanctuary of the clubhouse with a couple of cracking Par 5’s and a tough Par 3 finisher!

Thank you to everyone at Muckhart for such a warm welcome! The members I met (especially the young lads playing in front of me!) were a real credit to your golf club!
