Ramadan Kareem
Ramadan is the ninth month of the Islamic calendar. It is a sacred month of fasting, worship, and mercy. Muslims fast from dawn to sunset, refraining from food, drink, and other physical needs as an act of obedience and devotion to God.
Fasting teaches patience, strengthens faith, and reminds us to be grateful for our blessings. It also helps us feel compassion for those in need.
Ramadan is a beautiful opportunity to renew our hearts, increase our prayers, read the Qur’an, and do good deeds.
🌟 May this Ramadan bring peace, forgiveness, and blessings to everyone.

I did not know that the hardest journeys are the ones we do not choose, and that farewell can be the beginning of a road whose end we do not know. I left a place filled with my memories, carrying my children and my heart in my hands—afraid of the unknown, yet searching for safety. In those moments, I realized that courage is not the absence of fear, but the ability to keep walking despite the trembling within us. And so our new life began: with hesitant steps, yet filled with hope.

Strength is not in never breaking, but in breaking silently and rising every morning for what you love or for those you love.
The strongest people are not those whom life has never knocked down, but those who fell and refused to let their hearts die. Rising every day despite the exhaustion is a quiet form of heroism unseen by many, yet deeply powerful. It is written in your heart and carved into the soul as an unbreakable will.

Dear all, thank you for your support and for following this page 🌹

On this page, I will speak openly about the experience of migration and asylum as my children and I truly lived it with its heavy days, the lessons I I learned, and the strength that was born from suffering.

I write here because thousands of families and singles are living the same experience we once lived in silence, and the painful truth is that many could not endure it and chose other paths that I will speak about later.

I write because when pain is told, it becomes awareness

As a Sudanese woman from Darfur, my lifelong dream has been to contribute to supporting and developing the displaced people of Darfur within Sudan. Yet the painful reality is that Darfur has never truly known stability; at times wars claim the lives of its people, and at other times they fall victim to the widespread tribal racism that continues to affect the country.

I have received several threats from known sources within Sudan. These threats began after I exposed what I considered manipulation and violations at the orphanage for children of unknown parentage (Maygoma). Some of the humanitarian donations we had been sending from Qatar as part of a youth initiative did not reach the intended beneficiaries; instead, children’s supplies including school bags, food, and even infant milk were sold in local markets rather than distributed to the children.

Pressure and threats intensified after I ran for the “Shuaib Parliament” program to represent Sudan on issues related to women’s rights and the rights of children of unknown parentage, in what appeared to be an attempt to silence this issue and prevent it from being brought before the public.

Despite all of this, I still believe that defending the rights of the most vulnerable is not a choice but a humanitarian responsibility, and that the voice of truth will always remain stronger than attempts to silence it.

After graduating from high school in Qatar, I founded a youth initiative called “The Youth Vision.” Its aim was to introduce young people to the diffetent culturals and strengthen communication among them.

I gathered 40 members in two weeks from different countries and together we organized a wide range of events and activities that served the community.

At that time, the Ministry of Culture and Arts the former name of what is now the Ministry of Culture and Sports supported me by providing an office where we could meet to plan our activities and events.

Through this support, we organized several community initiatives, including fun events for children with diabetes, Activities for the special needs, and other activities at Hamad General Hospital.

With the time the situation in my home country, Sudan, became more difficult, I decided to dedicate more of my time to contributing .

With the support of His Excellency the Minister of Culture and Arts at the time (now Minister of State), as well as media presrnters Hassan Al-Saei and Moza Al-Ishaq, we launched a donation campaign to support children in war areas, as well as children in orphan care homes in Sudan.

The campaign included winter clothing, school bags, stationery, and other essential supplies provided by many volunteers and supporters.

The initiative was honored several times in recognition of its community efforts. It continued for five years with more than 200 members participated, leaving a humanitarian impact that we remain proud of to this day.

One of the most beautiful memories I carry from my childhood and teenage years is those moments when the whole family would gather after lunch to watch a new episode of a series or an animated movie.

The programs we watched back then were truly family friendly, free from offensive language, which made them a warm and meaningful part of our daily lives.

I still remember how Syrian dramas were among the shows that attracted me the most at the time, along with Japanese animated cartoons that entire generations grew up watching.
Then came Spacetoon channel, adding even more joy to our childhood by broadcasting some of the best and newest animated cartoons back in 2002 or 2003, and it became an unforgettable part of a whole generation’s memories.

My mom was never worried of leaving us alone watching the TV as thier was no offensive language or things children shouldn't watch. Unlike today, as a mother I always have to keep an eye on what my children watch as the cartoons or media in general isn't safe as it was in the past.

These are some pictures of the TV series and cartoons I watched and loved. What was your favorite show?

My parents were born in Sudan, specifically Darfur where our family roots originate. My eldest brother was also born in Sudan, while the rest of us were born abroad for that I don't have childhood memories in there.

I also don't remember much about my childhood in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, as I left when I was nine years old. However, the few memories I carry are filled with warmth.

We lived a beautiful and comfortable childhood in a residential compound in the city of Rabigh.

We attended wonderful schools, built lovely friendships, and we used to spent our school holidays at the sports club, where we would gather with friends to swim or play other activities.

I also remember the school trips that were organized for us to participate in events or visit museums and amusement parks, as well as the Qur’an afterschool claases I used to attend with my siblings.

It was a beautiful childhood.
