🍂🎃 Let’s talk seasonal activations…

When I worked in hospitality, autumn didn’t kick off until October, Halloween wrapped up at closing time on the 31st, and Christmas started the next day. 🎄
I used to think this was an absolutely mental turn around back then. 😮‍💨

Fast forward to now and I swear the lines are getting blurrier every year. Christmas stock before I’ve even had my first pumpkin spiced latte? Madness! 🎃

I know these campaigns are planned months in advance, but are we getting a bit too keen to launch? 👀

Are the lines really getting blurred… or am I just getting old? 😂

Wow… it’s only the second week of September and I am wrecked 😅

Between gym sessions, meal prep, school returns, drop offs, pick ups, my new students and welcoming so many amazing new clients (I think a record breaking month for new clients!!) - my cup is VERY full.

September really is the new January 💻✨

£20k target ✅ SMASHED 🙌

Yesterday I joined Marcus on the final leg of his Cork2Port walk, finishing at SHANTY in Portrush where we were able to raise a Guinness to his Mummy, Joanie ❤️

Thankfully the weather was kind to us on the second half of the walk 🙏🏻🙏🏻

Marcus has been walking to raise vital funds for Air Ambulance Northern Ireland. Before helping him with PR and marketing for this challenge, I didn’t fully realise what an incredible service AANI is:

🚁 The air ambulance can reach anywhere in NI in 25 minutes
🚁 On average, the medical team are called out twice a day
🚁 It costs £8,000 every single day to keep the service flying
🚁 As a charity, AANI needs to raise £3 million every year to stay operational

Every penny raised by Marcus will help sustain this life-saving service that is there for all of us, every day. His fundraising page is still open, so you can still donate! 🙌

Today I met with Marcus, who’s about to take on a HUGE mission – walking 400 miles from Cork to Portrush to raise £20,000 for Air Ambulance Northern Ireland. This incredible charity costs £8,000 a day to run, so Marcus’s goal will help fund nearly 3 full days of life-saving operations – from aviation fuel to specialist medical staff. 🥰🚁

I’ve been helping Marcus promote his journey on social media, and it’s been amazing to see the support grow. And would you just check out the little SHADE logo on his t-shirt? I am so proud!

Happy results day lads 🎓

I wish I could say I had one of those dramatic “failed everything but still made it” stories… but truth is, I did alright. I got my A-Levels, walked straight into the uni I wanted, barely lifted a finger some days, and still came out with a degree.

But here’s what I learned – that piece of paper was just a ticket to get me in front of the right people. It wasn’t the reason I landed dream jobs or amazing clients. That came from the graft afterwards. The late nights. The showing up. The saying yes, even when I was terrified.

So if today didn’t go the way you hoped, please know this – your results aren’t the final word on what you’re capable of. What matters most is what you do from here. Keep your head up, keep pushing, and chase the life you want with everything you’ve got.

You’ve got time. You’ve got options. And you’ve got this 🙌🏼

Lots of new eyes on here so I thought I would reintroduce myself… 👀

✨Meet Lyndsey ✨
Owner of SHADE Social Media Management, further education lecturer, wife, proud mum and usually the one behind the camera or the captions.

I started SHADE with one goal in mind, to help businesses feel more confident and less overwhelmed when it comes to showing up online. No fluff, no gimmicks. Just straight-talking support, strategy that actually works and content that feels like you.

Outside of SHADE, you’ll usually find me juggling mum life, mentoring students, voice-noting clients on the go, smashing pints of Guinness with my hubby or in the gym chasing another goal I’ve set myself 🚀
