To maintain a healthy va**na you must know what to do to avoid infection and it is equally important to educate your s*xual partner on some of them to also help you help the va**na.
Here are some few things you can do or avoid.

#1. Fi*****ng

During foreplay or romance, as part of it some people insert their finger or fingers into the va**na. The question is, how many people wash their hands before s*xual in*******se?

*VAGINAL INFECTION*


• Väginal Infection (VI) is simply any infection that affects the vägina, if not well managed can lead to infertility.

• Väginal infection can be caused by the overgrowth of atypical bacteria or fungi, which can lead to Bacterial vaginosis or Candidiasis (Va.ginal Yeast Infection) respectively.

• Common symptoms of väginal infection includes;
- Itching
- Väginal discharge
- Väginal odour (fishy)
- Lower abdominal pain.
- Irregular or absence of ovulation.
- Abnormal colour of menstrual flow.

• Recurrent va.ginal infection occurs when you keep having a repeated episode of the infection, at least 5times in a year.

• Fluconazole 150mg, Nystatin & Mycoten va**nal cream can be used to treat a va**nal yeast infection while Metronidazole 400mg & 2% Clindamycin va**nal cream can be used for the treatment of Bacterial vaginosis. Ensure you're supervised by a Gynaecologist, for proper diagnosis and treatment procedure, so as to prevent reoccurrence.

• When va.ginal infection is not well treated it can progress into the uterus infecting the lining and other connecting organs e.g o***y and the fallopian tubes, which can hinder fertilization.

★ Tips To Prevent Recurrent Vaginal Infection *
* Lifestyle changes; not keeping more than one partner.

* Improved personal hygiene.

* Ensure your underwears are sun-dried after washing, to prevent the growth of atypical bacteria or fungi which can colonize the va.gina.

* Ensure you disinfect and sun-dry your underwears properly during and after treatment, to prevent a reoccurrence.

* Healthy eating; fresh fruits, vegetables and probiotics

* Use of condoms or abstinence during the course of the infection and treatment.

* Get your partner treated

* Avoid indiscriminate use of antibiotics

*Always comply with treatment!
* proper diagnosis of the type of microorganisms causing the infection.
