And the winners are.....🏆

Last week, 51 of our officers and staff were recognised at the Divisional Commander’s Commendations Ceremony.

They were celebrated for their outstanding contribution to South Division, which covers the areas of Preston, Chorley, South Ribble and West Lancashire.

Chief Superintendent and Divisional Commander Stasia Osiowy said: “This event shines the spotlight on the fantastic work being done by my teams across the division every single day, and I am extremely proud of them all.

“Dozens of inspiring officers and staff were nominated in categories including outstanding contribution to community policing, investigative quality on cases and bravery and I want to congratulate all of those who have been recognised.

Their personal commitment and dedication to keeping communities safe across South Lancashire is a credit to the Constabulary.”

had finished with the previous no insurance when this Renault Scenic was stopped due to some damage to the rear.

The driver had a provisional licence, no L plates fitted and unsupervised.

stopped the driver of this Ford Fiesta on New Hall Lane, Preston. The driver believed the insurance on his company car would cover him to drive his own vehicle.

Today the Neighbourhood Policing Team have been out and about in Preston town centre welcoming HRH Earl of Wessex, Edward and Countess of Wessex, Sophie to mark the 20th anniversary of Preston being made into a City.

Their Royal Highnesses visited the flag market and spent time speaking with local businesses before going through to Avenham park where they had lunch. In the afternoon the Royal Highnesses planted a tree and spent time with school children in Miller park before unveiling a plaque which will remain situated near the fountain.
