Council chiefs in Preston have stepped in to shut down a toilet cubicle at The White Hart pub following the discovery of an illicit "gloryhole" carved into the partition wall.
Licensing and public health officials descended on the city centre venue after photographic evidence of the unauthorized architectural modification began circulating widely on local messaging apps. The impromptu renovation—bored through the plasterboard dividing the disabled facility and an adjacent stall—reportedly turned the cubicle into an unexpected hotspot for patrons before management caught wind of the foot traffic.
Preston City Council has since slapped a formal prohibition notice on the affected stall, citing breaches of public nuisance regulations and unauthorized structural alterations.

CRAZY WOMAN” SPOTTED CLINGING TO LOAD ON M6

Motorists on the M6 near Preston were left doing a double-take after a woman was allegedly spotted lying across the back of a heavily loaded van, apparently attempting to secure the contents while the vehicle was travelling along the motorway.

The bizarre scene shows the woman stretched out across what appears to be mattresses, timber and assorted household items, with the load held down by a collection of straps.

One passing motorist said:

“I thought I was seeing things. Then I realised she was actually lying on top of it!”

Another commented: “Only in Preston!”
