We’re over the moon to announce the cast of our upcoming short film, “Poppy”.

We had such an incredible response to our casting call and narrowing down our cast was so tricky - we couldn’t believe the amazing display of talent we had the privilege of looking through!

Thank you so, so much to everyone who applied . Please do keep your eyes peeled for future casting announcements as we’d love to hear from you all again.

Shooting begins next week, and we can’t wait to share the process with you as we bring our film to life!

We aren’t seeking a specific “look” for any of these characters, we are more interested in seeing who embodies the energy of the characters.

ROLES;

POPPY
Mid 20s
Female
Some dancing experience is a plus, but not essential
Has some “bite”, but also has a gentle, vulnerable side

LUX
Mid 20s
Female
Tough but loveable
LUX’s voice carries us through a lot of the story via voiceover, so an interesting-sounding voice is a plus

BLAKE
Mid 20s+ (no specific upper age limit)
NON-SPEAKING ROLE, but very integral to the story
Physically intimidating is a plus, but not essential
Must be comfortable in water (the character wades out into a lake, waist height)

YOUNG POPPY
8 - 10 years old
NON-SPEAKING ROLE
Will be finalised once older Poppy has been cast
