DJ Clumsy Madhatter

DJ Clumsy Madhatter Loves bass, beats and filling dance floors with heads that love bass and beats. Bookings djclumsy@g Don't forget our notorious takeovers of festival stages too.

I'm Clumsy (everyone calls me this) and I've been a vinyl DJ from the North West of England for 25 years. However, recently I have transfered to the digital format because there is a huge shortage of new releases. I run the Madhatters Sound System with my wife Lettie Smith, also know as Madhatters on facebook. My musical tastes vary and my record bag and pen drive includes a many genres inc Regga

e and Ragga Jungle. Fortunatly I'm old enough to have played on many a stage and supported many a band and DJ including Zion Train, Astralasia, Kelvin 373, Aries, Dope Ammo, Phibes, Ed Solo, Dreadzone, Aaron and Chris Liberator also shared a line up or two with Deekline recently too. I started DJing 20 years ago for the Madhatters Sound System a very underground party set up and since then I have played all over the place inc Wales and Scotland, Ibiza and even Holland. I love playing festivals as well as private events and also club nights. Best buzz in the world for me is a full dance floor and tent, my name on a flyer, or hosting a Madhatters night on our own or with many of our friends. Over the years I have been very fortunate to play at some amazing nights including our great friends Gash Collective in Manchester, Megadog Sound, Beatherder, System, IllumiNaughty, Trades Club, Beaverfest and Remedy.I would love to mention everyone I have supported but you would get seriously bored reading the huge list, I did say 20 years I have been at it. If you like what you hear contact either myself or my wife Lettie Madhatters for all the info you will need.

Lancashire Festival returns to Preston this summer
Preston's beloved Lancashire Festival is set to make a grand return to Miller Park on Saturday, 19th July 2025, offering a day brimming with live music, captivating performances, and family-friendly activities.

Now in its sixth year, the Lancashire Festival has firmly established itself as a highlight in the region's cultural calendar. With an affordable entry fee of just £5, attendees can enjoy a diverse lineup of entertainment all day.

The festival is committed to inclusivity, as it donates numerous free tickets to local community groups and individuals facing financial hardship, ensuring everyone can partake in the festivities.

This year's musical lineup features local talents such as Delayed Intentions, an indie pop/rock band known for their crowd-pleasing covers; Lucas Williams, a rising solo musician making waves in the local scene; Rhea Scholfield, a versatile vocalist performing hits from across the decades; and Em-Lou, a Preston-based singer returning after a well-received debut last year.

Beyond music, the festival promises a variety of entertainment and activities. Attendees can look forward to breathtaking aerial circus performances by Cirque Fit, jaw-dropping street entertainment from stilt walkers and fire performers, and interactive circus workshops. Additionally, 'Let's Grow Preston' will host seed sowing workshops to encourage attendees to cultivate their own food this summer.

The event will be hosted by former BBC radio presenter John Gillmore, bringing his signature charm to the stage.
The festival operates with minimal external funding or council support, relying on ticket sales, trader pitch fees, and sponsorships to sustain its vibrant offerings. This year, an estimated £12,000 is required to keep the festival running smoothly. Local businesses, sponsors, and volunteers are encouraged to get involved, whether through sponsorship, volunteering, performing, or simply attending and spreading the word.

The festival is organised by Joshua Holden from Wolf Entertainments in Preston who is a renowned entertainer and circus performer in the area who hosts regular family workshops helping develop theatre and performance talent in Lancashire, says:
“I’m really excited to announce details of this years Lancashire Festival, we’ve been working hard since last year’s event to make 2025 even bigger and better than ever before. The support from the local community is incredible and we’re really grateful for everyone’s support which has enabled us to add even more into this year’s lineup.”

“We always ensure our festival is welcoming and inclusive to all members of the community, so we can’t wait to welcome everyone for superb fun-packed day of family fun on the 19th of July.”

Mollie Elise Aesthetics of Chorley has been announced as the headline sponsor for 2025, reflecting her dedication to excellence and support for community initiatives. Additional sponsorship has been provided by The Continental and independent local radio station Central Radio who often feature local community news and events.

Tickets are available on Skiddle by searching for Lancashire Festival or by visiting (https://www.skiddle.com/whats-on/Preston/Miller-Park/The-Lancashire-Festival-2025/40664711/)
