Set to the Biblical parable of the Prodigal Son. Is a famous story about a father who welcomes back his rebellious younger son with joy, despite the son wasting his inheritance, while the faithful older brother remains resentful.
This story sets the stage for a daughter (early 20's) who gets her inheritance share from her late great grandmother, and she thinks she can make it on her own.
Rather than listen to the wisdom of her parents, she is rebellious and moves into a small studio apartment and takes the false advice of those who she thinks are her friends. With the influence of her "friends" she soon squanders her inheritance, and ends up loosing her studio apartment, turns to a life of drugs and prostitution..
In a state of despair, she take a blade to slit her wrists and end her life. It is true a sheer act of redemption that she decides to return back to the family home to seek forgiveness from her parents.
A story that is gripping and shows the real struggles of many that are homeless and wanting a way home, through hope.
